Grim Dawn - ARPG

This is now available on Steam £20.99 discounted to £18.89 until 12th Nov.

Well worth a punt if your into your aRPG's and a fan of their previous game Titan Quest.

got this on the sale think it still is and is pretty fun like it was said before it's pretty much like titans quest , but does anyone know where to find the warden on the quest atm but can't find the cellar :/

The celler is right at the start of the map, the first house you come to in the forst town :)

Is this in a nearly finished state? Fancy giving it a go but I don't tend to play through stuff more than a couple of times, even with actions RPGs, so would rather wait for the 'complete' experience.

to be honest, I haven't followed it much so I don't actually know what the plan is. so far they have 2acts, max lvl 35 (final game will be much higher), 5classes. I would check their forum, but I can't as it's blocked at work :(

Well I decided to give this a go (cost about a tenner from one of the CD key sites). Sunk a few hours into it yesterday playing as a demolitionist. Got as far as killing the Warden which I'm guessing is Act 1 pretty much done... really like the Grim tone and the fragments of backstory you can pick up. The character progression and equipment upgrading systems from TQ are instantly familiar. It feels pretty easy on Normal difficulty although some of the bosses appear to be well balanced.

Combat feels a little clunky but that might be partly down to playing a low level or ranged character and skills/character development feel a bit basic initially, but I've only tried one class and may have been spoiled by the passive tree and support skill combos in POE.

Graphics are OK... suitably murky and miserable but many of the effects look like they need work and everything seems a bit blurry at times. The art direction is pretty good however.

The all important looting is fun, with useful and interesting drops even at low levels.

Overall I'm looking forward to playing more and trying out a few different classes while waiting for Act 4 of POE to arrive.

Been playing this a bit more frequently recently, started an Arcanist, and while squishy is pretty decent at trash clearing, just suffers a little at boss dps but i think thats mostly because my build is sub optimal.

I loved TQ and its expansion back in the day and this game is very familiar, obviously its the same devs but still its got a lot of the same mechanics which is nice.

Got to act2 a few nights ago and feel my Arcanist is a bit weak really to push on so im going to start a new character and this time try a build consisting of 2 classes (Demo and Occultist) and see how i get on.

They recently pushed the level cap to 40 and added a 3rd act to the game, i think i read end game will be lvl70 so only really around halfway though the current game it seems.

overall im impressed by it and theres enough content to keep you interested for a good while really.

Really? I'd almost given up hope one this one. I paid via their website (not kickstarter) years ago!

Same I assume I'll get an email once alpha comes out?

I am in the same boat contributed at the very start of development, was promised that I would get a key as soon as it was playable.

Should I email Crate or is there something I need to do to get a key?
