Grimsvotn volcano erupts in Iceland

It’s beginning not to look good with the CAA saying there is likely to be flight disruption from tomorrow

Have you readied the simulatorman rss feed in preperation? We'll be needing 10 minutely copy/pastes from news sources, along with constant jpeg's of various satellite feeds as well. I hope you've got it covered?

Don't forget to not cite your sources so the less informed amongst us begin to beleive you are some sort of expert in the subject at hand :p

The words of someone who doesn't have a comeback to Fox's excellent point.

I think it would be hilarious for someone to change your sig to say [CITATION NEEDED] every time you go on an RSS binge :D

To be honest though, i like it in the STS-134 thread. Means i don't have to go somewhere that's not OCUK to see what the wake up call was and it allows me to post more pointless questions without seeming greedy and just bumping it all the time.

What? We have an unwritten arrangement here man! :p

You'll love it, came back on Wednesday. Fantastic city :)

Thats good to hear!

Its been at the back of my mind since I have had exams all last week, with the final one on Thursday. Haven't planned anything yet! Brother went a few years back and loved it, so hopefully i'll feel the same! :)

Anyone got any idea how much a TransAtlantic flight can be diverted? We are flying with Virgin to Vegas tomorrow morning (11:25). They appear to have diverted from their usual route today, heading over south Ireland. However, the predicted cloud for 0600 tomorrow is to cover pretty much all of Ireland.

Is Virgin likely/able to divert enough to bypass Ireland and head out of England via the south/south west (and bypass Ireland) then up to Greenland as usual?

Talk about stressed! I've had to cancel this surprise anniversary trip due to the wife falling ill just 2 weeks before our last trip. This would just top it off!

They could always fly at a lower altitude, but this uses a lot more fuel...
