When the temps drop can u not just put them somewhere warm and use a lamp or somit or stick the heating on for a hour or two to keep temps constant?

If you keep them in summer conditions with lighting and heating they'll continue as if nothing has happened, fruiting all the way through the seasons.

The plans I had (in the photo) were too big and hadn't fruited. When I mean big I mean 2+ metres across as they splay out if not supported to keep them growing upwards.

LOL so you really ended up having a small bush/ Shrub?

Apparently "Filius Blue" is another one that goes a kind of purpley blue and grows well outside and produces quite a few fruit. it is a medium strength chilli.

A few other sites i have found are:
Cookoo Box Chillie's
Mammoth Onion (Has Chillie's too tho)

Here Espescialy for SkeeterPSA:

Aurora Seeds

Also heres a little PDF thingy if anyone is intrested in other types, it describes their growing abilitys,

Hehe. I made two batches of Jalfrezi sauce last night for freezing.

Then it's just a case of cooking the marinaded meat, adding a few fresh onions and chillies along with the sauce.

I found by putting the chillis on an oven tray in oven of 150c for a while dried them out far better than frying pluss it doesnt near kill you, Because i didnt have a tool for making it into powder, i put the dried chillis into a sandwich bag and used a rolling pin, took a while but worth it.

Quick Q, I have a couple of pepper plants and 4 chilli ones. Now I've had one pepper grow on each pepper plant and had several flowers come through too, but they seem to just die and fall off? not just the flower leaves but the whole branch. I water every other day and once a week with food.

Any ideas?

Hmm does sound like a sick plant.

I would personaly would go hell for leather and trim it right back like NicKK's and just keep watering it, possibly poke something long down into soil and make sure it isnt too wet, if the roots get too wet you get Root rot, once this sets in the plant will start to die.

a mix of 4 parts general potting compost, 1 part vermiculite and 1 part perlite.

Is one of the most common soil types i have read for growin chillis, mines are in Homebases cheapest grow bag and are doing smashing tho,

Feed them with a mixture of Baby Bio one week then second week - 3rd with Miracle grow organic choice.

I need to post up more pics. I've potted up my gang since the last photos. Two plants had to go out into my garden, I just didn't have the window sill space. They have been completely munched by slugs. The rest are coming along nicely, and I have some chilis.

As for growing matter, I'm using Wilkinson's multipurpose compost (cheap). I have in the last few weeks started using a specialist chili & pepper feed (although it had the same ingredients as the company's tomato feed so it's going on my tomatoes as well).

The largest jalapeno plant i have growing about 20" or so. I am seeing a flower forming. :) Tho didnt expect it so early and with the plant being so small. It really needs repotting on tho as do all the large jalapeno plants i have. B&Q tomorrow.

mine did the same until i realised what i wasnt doing.

to stop them dropping you have to polinate them. i think that if u dont polinate them once their opened they have done their bit and the plant dont need them so they fall off.

Its strange how a whole branch would fall off.

When i get in tonight i will take pictures of the ones i deliberately didn't pollinate to show what it looks like and if it is the same.

One of the easiest ways i found to polinate was to rub the centre of the flower with my figer gently then move round flowers, buit everyone in here has their own method.

Cheers, yeah i use my little finger to polinate :o its really weird as the pepper that has grown is getting huge :/
