AMD says its 4850 device at about 110W and $199 will deliver about 75 percent of the performance of Nvidia's high-end GTX280 which costs $649 and dissipates 236W.

Just conjecturing here, but my m/b has one 16x PCI-E slot and one 8x PCI-E slot, I think, heres the information from the site, I'm not sure how to quite read it,

Expansion Capabilities Two PCI Conventional bus add-in card connectors (SMBus routed to both PCI Conventional bus add-in card connectors)
One Primary PCI Express* x16 (electrical x16 or x8) bus add-in card connector
One Secondary PCI Express* x16 (electrical x8) bus add-in card connector
One PCI Express* x16 (electrical x4) bus add-in card connector

But basically could I run CF 4850's on my board ?, it says it's CF compatible but it's an old board and these new cards my require more bandwidth.

First figure is the size, electrical is the speed. Chances are it means one card will run at 16x in slot one but in crossfire they will both run at 8x speed.

How much that will drop performance is uncertain.
