GT5 Prologue trailer right here !!

so far all i have is motorstorm which i play on now and then, i was waiting for GTA4 and this and im choppsing my arm of to get them if need be.

Amazing. i hope not having a wheel is not going to ruin it as i have one for the PC and it 'makes' the driving games on there for me. The missus wouldnt alow on for downstairs. lol

Yeah - the visuals are pretty stunning - it looks like it'll be well worth the wait. It appears to be far superior to Forza 2.

Best racing game I've ever played was GT3 on the PS2 so I can't wait to get my hands on this. Also a major plus that it's coming out in the new year so I can devote all my time to it without being distracted by all the Christmas releases :)

Goes without saying that the trailer looks mighty impressive

hehe fair enough! Ill eat my words if im wrong :) But just take one look at GT:HD then look at replay mode and youll see the difference! Gran turismo is well known for its replays. ;)

The thing that struck me most about that trailer was the audio. Graphics are nothing in a racing game if it sounds like you're driving a lawnmower instead of an Audi R8.

Looked sweet too, but until I see "in-game" footage, I won't make a judgement either way.

Any word on damage/online play? First bit where the scenery is changing is obviously from the intro movie, but the in-game stuff after looks nice. Car models and scenery do look better than Forza 2 / PGR3, although not by a huge amount IMO. We'll see if the physics can match Forza 2.

Anyone know why it's called 'Prologue'? Does that suggest a mini game coming out before the main GT5 like they did with GT3? (IIRC)

Judging by what baldy said before the footage it looks like it's going to be much like GT:HD in that it's another appetiser before the actual game is released ;)

Funny thing I noticed there, the sound of the R8 appears to revving still when braking, haha. Take a look again!

They do sound good though.

The first bit with the Nissan is clearly not "in-game". The second bit looks like replay. Theres a clear divide in quality from the Nissan to the multitude of performance cars on the track. The last bit with the new Skyline, or GTR or whatever its now called is their little photo mode with your choice of backdrop.

Oh and i will eat my words too if im wrong.

Car models are far superior to Forza 2, they even make PGR3 look poor. I'll be very suprised if they're in game car models infact, they're just too perfect and have very few visable poly edges. They'll have had to find something other developers haven't if they're pushing that many polys through the PS3 in real time.

The environments are nice too, but they're certainly in game modelling.

The full GT5 comes out later, as always GT games take far too long to make :(

We shall see i seen far too many of sony's " this is how the game will look" then when they finally come out they look terrible, motorstorm says it all to me, looked fab in the target footage sadly the visuals never came near it.
