as a modding newb could someone recommend me a bunch of mods for this game. i have the steam version so they will need to be compatible with whatever the latest version of the game is (this is whats causing some of the confusion).

what i'm after:
- all the cars to look amazing (some real cars would be nice too)
- something along the lines of that ice enhancer or Gionights's Best ENB Final thing


i will probably also get:
- treesmodIV
- EPM v1.4
- realistic driving and flying
- something to make the engine sounds more realistic

the problem is that theres so much choice i could end up modding for months and not actually playing the game

Are you running the 1040 retail version or the Steam version?

Theres a guide on how to downgrade the Steam version here:

Pretty much all mods run poorly on the latest build, and they mostly designed around 1040, give that a try.

I have been looking for ages but I can never find the Sierra Cosworth RS500 car for this game. I have seen pictures with people running the game with this car. Does anyone know where it can be downloaded at all? All I can find is the one for San Andreas.
