I installed the mod myself, running a 4.6ghz i5 2500k and a oc'd gtx460. Basicly what this mod does, it uses some simple custom shaders, but sets the games resolution to something like 3200x2000. You then change a few settings in nvidia control panel to use your gpu to scale it down to 1600x1000. The result is an amazing quality with almost no aliasing etc. I get around 30 fps (very smooth) but i do sometimes notice some texture pop-in.

The blur is .jpg and .png compression. Ingame its sharp. Im gonna see if i can manage to record a video.

Edit: I managed to record about 5 mins of nice smooth 2560x1440 gameplay of this mod, with supersample/aa/hdr on. Ill post it here when the upload is finished.

Many of these mods only work for a specific version of GTA IV, not the latest. If you're using steam, you get autopatched to the latest. Is there any way to downgrade a steam version of the game to an earlier patch?

If its too dark at night change NightLightingIntensity in iceconfig.ini to 1.65, that should make it much better.

Ah nice I'll do that, I never managed to reach night time on that brief stint ended up messing around in the video editor and then it crashed.

1080p should appear soon.
