now i dont wanna start any arguments so can we please keep this to actual factual information

i have both consoles and this will be the best game ever made to date on any console - so which console do i purchase it on???

which console will have the better graphics???
smoother gameplay??
better sound??

everything has to be right

my ps3 is a lot quieter - also uses hdmi - but it has no extra content available

what will the downloadable content be??

is it missions or characters or what??

i need to pre-order this game so is there anybody out there who could tell us all which one will be better?

i could always buy the ps3 version then sell it and buy the 360 version when the DLC is released but is it really worth the hassle
 
its said that both consoles are pretty dam close in gfx terms so both look the same and run the same.

il be getting it on the 360 due to the content and acheivments :cool:
 
If i had the choice i would buy the 360 version... but i don't because i only have a PS3. I wouldn't be shocked if 6 months after the 360 dlc is released, the PS3 gets it too.

On a slightly-side-note, whats this i hear about the PS3 having it in 1080p and the 360 not? Is this all rubbish? (as i expect it is)
 
Microsoft didn't spend $50m on a few missions. It will be a large chapter, potentially 5/10 hours long and possibly be in a new area. It's also 100% exclusive.

If you have both systems and fancy this then there's only really one answer.

Same boat as you. I am leaning towards the ps3 version as more people I know in have PS3s and are getting this game. Like you could get the 360 version cheap in over 6 months when the DLC is released. Still plenty of time for more detailed reviews before ordering I think, but I think the DLC is a bit too vague at the moment for me to buy it solely for that reason (If it comes at the expense of not being able to play the online with mates on the ps3).

The PS3 wont get it because MS paid them to make the content for the 360 and Mircosoft aren't stupid enough to let them have it after spending all that money.

Both versions will display 1080p, but the game is natively 720p so it means scaling will be involved to get it to any other resolutions.
 
wow quick replys and i have ordered it on the 360

here are the pros and cons how i see them

360 pros - DLC, better controls, better online system for updates, online play is possible

cons - noisy console, unreliable console (could kill the console whilst playing), not as powerful as the ps3, doesnt come with guaranteed hard drive for cacheing, installing to hard disk

ps3 pros - much lighter controller but the controller itself now feels dated, very quiet console, very reliable console, feels more graphically powerful, guaranteed large hard disk for installing, cacheing

cons - no downloadable content, slightly dated control system, no rumble, no decent online system

so the 360 won it for me, i could always just buy it on the ps3 if it is much smoother gameplay
 
$50mil is pocket change to Microsoft in all honesty. And if it gets people buying the 360 version over the PS3, then it's money well spent.

thats it though is this game playable in co-op online or multiplayer even??

if it is then the 360 wins hands down

rp2000 we could always do a swap if you want

ill play my 360 version for a month then post it to you and you do the same with your ps3 version and after another month swap back

will cost us like a tenner in p and p but i think it will be worth it

like i said originally i dont wanna start a war, but i genuinely believe the ps3 is a much more powerful console

its certainly more reliable anyway, so if my 360 dies, rather than waiting for a new one ill just buy the ps3 version

currently i have pre-ordered the 360 version - so as you can see im totally confused about which will be better but DLC wins it for me
