I'll never buy Microsoft DLC again so that negates any points about extra gameplay for me. I'm too tight to pay for Xbox Live again when I only used it about 3 times in the whole of last year. I don't want to end up with a scratched DVD. So it's PS3 for me, baby.
This confused me as well, actually these games DO NOT have dedicated servers, but they do use their own servers for the matchmaking (but once the matching is done the host is on of the team members). Makes the mony for the game/online sub seem even worse VFM.
I was quite surprised when someone told me that is how it worked as I suddenly realised a lot of games that I thought were with hosted server's weren't!!

360 for me, LIVE and my boy having more friends with 360 than PS3 who actually use a mic ingame, also larger userbase and the Downloadable content, i hear the PS3 will be getting downloadable content also and not this exclusive 360 stuff. Also hardly any install for PS3 users as a scan of the boxart revealed shows it requires a tiny 3340KB of HDD space and is concerning me meaning it'll be streaming from blu-ray disc.

If you don;t have any on pre order though, you might be playing San Andreas as a lot of places have stopped taking pre orders for all versions.

If there were dedicated servers you wouldn't hear nearly as much trash talking from Americans because they would no longer have the host advantage.

That'll be why Resistance 2 will be 60 player online with 8 player co-op.

Fairly positive I'll be able to walk into several shops on release day and get my copy.
The space requirement on the back of the box isn't always an indication of how much is required by the game to install - for example the GT5 Prologue box says it needs 250kb HDD space minimum yet installs at around 6gb. Its up to the developer wether the figure is save game file size or the total amount of hard disc required.

They should just ban P2P gaming period
Not sure how much that can be relied upon, from checking the back of my GT5 Prologue box it says HDD 250K needed.

ive been waiting for this game for like over 4 years
GTA 3 the original was the only game i have played from start to finish and enjoyed every single part of it
the ones that came after it were crap
yes they added helicopters and other crap into them, but they never felt the same
san andreas was possibly the worst out of the lot having to excercise and eat, if i wanted to play the sims i would have bought it

OMG you guys have totally confused me now and i have just pre ordered ps3 version also
ill play both and if 1 is a lot better than the other then ill get rid of it, otherwise ill keep both since im sure my wee bro will wanna play it when im playing it, so he can use one console whilst i play on the other
