GTA V Multiplayer thread (360, XBOX ONE, PS3 and PS4)

The problem with the money situation now is that if you get into a couple of conflicts you can quite easily razz all your ammo :/

I had a dude in an attack helicopter chasing me for ages and I was hiding under a bridge, kept popping out and shooting him and within 5 minutes I was down to a pistol :/

The reason I carry a crazy amount of ammo.. I make sure to keep about 7k+ of MG ammo and 2-3k of everything else :D Its expensive, but I'm a walking armoury! :D

Anyone had the problem of disappearing ammo with the Minigun online as topped it right up and after a few missions where i've not even used it the ammo count drops ?

Always walk around with maxed out ammo too. I can't wait until I get my hands on a grenade launcher.

I love how you all want loads of money without working for it. i am only level 11 and the max amount of dosh i have had is 15k and it does spend fast but thats why you need to be smart with it. if we all got money easy then for me that spoils the game.

I don't mind working for it, but when I spent 45 min racing, survival and all I got was $15k ?! After deducting some ammo and armour, you might as well just free mode and rob stores and sell the odd car for $9,000.

I used to think it was fun to put those musical horn on cars, but they are $25,000 each! or putting on the crew tyre smoke. Totally pointless but that is $50,000 right there. The point of them was just weird and fun, it doesn't make you a better driver, so they should either lower the cost of these or higher the reward. The reward should be proportionate to the levelling up.

I disagree that having lots of money spoils the game. I've been to both camps, and having lots of money is definitely a lot more fun and I still get to do all the other bits but instead I would be working towards levelling my character up, as opposed to farming for cash every event.

Its a great weapon but it gets crazy expensive fast. $5k for 20 rounds. I'm 9 levels away from the RPG, I'm expecting it to cost a small fortune to reload the thing.

realistically speaking, do you ever think you will own a tank?

basically no unless you glitched it or spammed a mission constantly whilst it was worth doing.

that's just 1 item, there are so many things which cost over 500K that i want to buy but realistically speaking i will probably only ever own one at maximum and that is if i can somehow hoard the cash without death penalty destroying me.

i got into a fight with a tank, i had a range rover. i lost 30-0, just imagine the death tax on that.

on top of that i spent about 12K on grenades and sticky bombs trying to blow it up.

the game is designed to basically make you pay if you want the top end stuff, there is no other realistic way of getting it "legit".

The cost to own say the Entity, Adder, Z-Type, Sultan, and a few other cars with a tank, Yacht, $400,000 apartment, all the guns full loaded and modded, all the clothing and then upgrade all the cars.

If you play legit up to level 100, I doubt you would be able to afford 1/10 of that.

I think I saw a video of a guy who got to level 120, he didn't glitch any of it and his total character earnings was around $3 million. That get you 1 Tank, 1 Entity and 1 $400,000 apartment and perhaps upgrade the Entity to the max leaving you not much change to buy anything else.

I would say you need around $10 million to be able to buy most things that you want/need.

I spent a million on the adder the other night - I'd been saving up for the Buzzard but in a moment of weakness spent it on a car.

Every penny of what I've earned online has been legit, not duped anything, haven't farmed the same race or mission over and over.

Currently sitting at level 91 after 10 days 4 hours of play time and I'd say a day or two of that I spent messing around in the city killing/dying with friends.

It is possible to earn a few million in a legit way, but its getting slower and slower with every patch.

Just spent $100k respraying 6 cars to Hot Pink lol (it's ghastly but I also love it)

My favourite sounding and looking car has got to be the Sabre.

Got bored of GTA online after a week. It's the same stuff over and over again. Not enough missions and money is hard to earn without getting bored. I dont mind working for it i played wow for 5 years but i think this game just does not have enough content to keep me satisfied. I also hate the death tax of 2k. U lose either way, if u die u lose 2k right there if u kill him u get nothing and if u start going after each other u both lose a lot of money within a few minutes and on top of that because u fought back u are seen as a "bad player" so go into the lobbies with all the other guys killing each other taking away more money from u because people keep killing u and it's hard to do missions with people killing u all the time.

Game could have been so much better it had the potential to be a fantastic online experience but sadlyt it isn't. First thing i would do is take away the death tax.

The death tax is needed otherwise it makes wanted levels pointless. If there was zero punishment for dying then why would anyone ever run from the cops?

There needs to be a penalty for that too, though? You can't let people die for free, otherwise there would be no desire to fight to stay alive.

GTA has always had penalties for dying or getting busted. The costs in GTA5 are low compared to previous games too. You used to lose all all your weapons when you got busted.

The problem is the monetisation of the in game cash. That's the root problem with all the money based issues.

Because you get RP from running away from the cops which levels up.

So you reward people doing so rather than punish.

I dont find the death tax that bad, I died about 15 times the other night and lost about 3k, nothing to cry over really and not as if i have a lot of money or anything either, have abbout £45k to my name.

What I hate about the game is bad sport, me and my friend were on the other night, we ran into another couple of guys who were killing everyone, we decided to chase them down and they blew up my car. End of the day he paid for it and I got a new car so not as if I lost out. Carried on chasing him down for me to destroy his bike, I received my bad sport warning and paid for his bike. No loss for him. they then managed to get a buzzard and start chasing us, we broke into the army base and tried to steal a couple off jets to kill them.

We all had fun killing each other laughing on, one of them even sent a message saying it was a laugh and that, no body was hurt and no body complained, yet it wouldnt have done any one of us any good towards being a good sport and would have went against us all. yet we didnt care about it.
