GTA V

I can imagine the shooting will be much better with K+M (probably more like Max Payne 3 when auto-lock is turn off), but everything else (especially the driving due to it's "arcade-y" nature) will be better with a controller. I'm looking forward for the PC version so much, even though I've already played the console version to death :D

I can't imagine using a KB/M to play GTA, even when I had it on PC, I used the controller, I can see the shooting being better, but moving around etc is suited to a controller IMO.

Also, they need to hurry up and announce a damn release date!

I always found PC GTA much easier with controller, just feels right. It feels rather clunky doing things in the world with KB+M, just feels to disjointed

I can't take this waiting any longer, already playing through GTA: SA to get in the mood for release.

On a side note, completely forgot how good of a game San Andreas is, having more fun than with most modern games by far.

haha I cant wait either, get a bloody move on!!!

it will run well if they port it well

gta iv was very poorly optimised

Online modes make it even more amazing

GTA 4 was very very poor on the hardware it was intended for but on todays machines it really is amazing.

Stock GTA4? No stutters here on AMD although I do recall it stuttered on my GTX 780 at the same settings (max sliders, 3440x1440). On the 290X it runs at a flawless 50-60fps. I guess the extra 1GB of VRAM helps or maybe better optimised to AMD cards.

Doubt its the VRAM, at 1080p maxed out i'm only seeing 1300mb max of VRAM usage though your res is a lot higher than that. Don't see it breaking 3gb though

It's not the vRAM. I could play at 30-50fps maxed out in eyefinity on 7950, however in certain points it felt like a ruberband/stutter online game. That was because of the shadows; as soon as lower those settings, it improves a lot. Don't know if it's driver/architecture of the GPU specific or the 2500k@4,5ghz isn't enough. Anyway, WD rand look way better :D (no troll intended).
