GTA V

Good to know, cheers. May just get a pre-order in with them, can always cancel if it gets cheaper elsewhere. Wouldn't surprise me if this was around 50GB so I'm with ya on the slow internet thing.

Looking at some of the major CD key sites they are charging about the same, although I would guess that their prices may drop closer to launch.

I never use physical copies so I'm out of touch on this.

With a GTA V physical copy on PC, would I need the disc after installing to play? Having not used a physical copy of a game for years I genuinely don't know if it's been phased out.

All of the more recent games I have bought on physical disk activate through Steam or Origin. You insert the disc, enter the key into Steam/Origin, it adds the game to your library and then installs it from the disc. After that it play like any other Steam/Origin game

I'd hazard a guess at change from 50GB.

I would guess about the same as well. Assuming that it is similar to console versions, they have to fit on a Blu-ray which are normally 50Gb (I know you can get larger capacity ones)

I'm so hyped for GTA V right now Just got done downloading Ice 3.0 for GTA IV due to all the hype :3

It's going to look amazing for sure though I have a feeling i'm gonna need to buy a second SSD close to it's release :P

I will defo need a new SSD before GTA5, but they are cheap enough now so not a huge worry. Just hope its not released in similar state to GTA4.

It makes the BF4 release look good that's how bad it was but then again I had a pretty bad PC back then so I doubt I would have noticed a difference between the performance good or bad being on a Q8200 back then with a 5770 XD

Played this literally to death on PS3, hundreds of hours. But maybe.... Just maybe this might be worth it. The graphics were pretty impressive for such an old console, it must be said. But the framerate sucked, it was like 19-24fps. The PC version will be beautiful, but hopefully not stupidly demanding.

I'll play it (on PC) when somebody mods IV's driving physics into it. And by the time that happens it'll be cheaper too :p

I actually bought it on PS3 and gave it away a day or two later. I couldn't bear the arcade physics. Literally ruined it for me.

Brilliant, if this is the same then physical copies FTW :p

Any idea if the Xbox One controller works wirelessly yet? I know Microsoft have just released beta drivers for it and are planning on pushing them through Windows Update soon but what about wireless capability?

Same I got too use to the GTA IV physics.

I will buy it when they port Red Dead, oh wait they wont so they wont get another penny from me ever. Unless if Red Dead 2 comes out and they port that.

That game was pretty dope. I still don't understand why it didn't get a PC Port. They probably just didn't see potential for it on the PC platform it's a shame when I see studios do this but you can understand why they wouldn't want to take the risk.

Yeah but the game was epic and got epic reviews on the consoles. So to me that screams port a year later after release for the PC. I mean we got LA Noire and MP3.

it wasn't just the single player that was epic, the mp was freaking amazing also. Just so much to do, loved it. One of the best game ever to grace any platform, it was amazing how it never came for PC. What were they thinking.

RDR was done by another team (San Diego). I guess they didn't really care, had problems with the engine or didn't have enough experience on PC to do it. Maybe they could have tossed it around Rockstar (to Leeds studio or something), but sounds like all the studios have been busy with GTA V anyway.

But imagine this... pre-purchase GTA V and get Red Dead Redemption for free :D One can dream...

Do we know what kind of DRM this will no doubt enforce? I'm good with steam works but I never got to play GTA IV due to securom.

Also, bar Stick of Truth, I've never played a Ubisoft game since the first Assassins Creed when I sold my consoles to focus on pc gaming. I see they even have the audacity to charge £50 preorders for Far Cry and the new Assassin Creed on Steam.
