65gb of space needed!!

Guess my 2 120gb SSD's aint cutting it anymore! Also I think my 6970 might struggle a bit?

That's why I got rid of a 120Gb SSD and bought a 250Gb, game are getting so big these days and I don't really want it on my mech drive. No pop in please!

Also with regards to your card, I don't think anyone can really say right now :( I upgraded from a 270X to a 290 as I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to play it with decent settings.

The 270X is an able card but I think it may have struggled; then again who knows? They recommend a 7870 at the moment! Your 6970 probably should be OK for medium settings @ 1080p maybe?

maybe im just poor then. those things dont seem worth double the price for me.

Or you have not had a bad experience downloading a large game before, I had a nightmare of a time downloading Farcry 4 from uplay a few months ago and that was only 32GB. The game should only of taken about a night to download, but in the end it took me 3 full days to download due to their crappy server connections.

When I found out GTA was going to be about 65GB, my first thought was I'll get the steam version as I never have any problems downloading from them.

Unless Rockstar let us preload I can see this being a major headache to download on launch day, and I have 160mb broadband!

previously i was on 70mb BT Fibre and didnt have any issues downloading from anywhere.

i now can download at 600kbps max

When I ordered from GMG it mentioned about pre-loading. Not sure if that was confirmed or not.

Nuuvem say this in their GTAV FAQ

I have not received the GTA V. key When will I receive?
A: Do not worry, GTA V key will be available in your Nuuvem the user account in the week before the launch

There will be preload / preload GTA V?
A: Yes, there will preload! Just was not yet confirmed the start date, but should take place throughout the week preceding the game's release.

Pre ordered last night :D can't wait better not disappoint. Decided to buy direct from Steam as the benefits are worth the extra to me and I like the fact I can stream to my TV natively using the steam feature. So glad I've got 150mb Virgin now though!

Just how important is the pre order bonus of ingsme cash going to be. Is there must have things needed from the start or is ingame items insainly overpriced that the bonus money is a must. Only things that worry me is online stuff because if its good and open gameplay where u can buy a house that's just urs and has a garage to keep ur fav car in then bonus money might be nice but how much are these things and how long does it take to earn the old fashioned ways. I mean I hope in mp I get reasonable cash from normal missions because I don't want to do missions like heists where u need others and you need to plan stuff to get a somewhat reasonable reward as I hate long missions in the GTA games and prefer the quick and easy ones which most were in past games.

My internet is super fast, however I bet the servers will be taking a pounding and taking into account people with slower dll speeds, plus the worldwide release date all being the same day, I would expect (read hope) that they allow 2-3 days before for pre-load.
