Like you I have never had a problem downloading from anywhere before, Origin, steam and GOG all work fine for me. But after that expirence with uplay and never downloaded anything from rockstar before. I have gone the safe route for me, yesterday I downloaded the Evolve patch which was 7.1GB :eek:

Lucky for me, the wife had my PC on all afternoon and it just downloaded in the background :D

My average connection speed on steam is about 800kbps.

I'm doing the same, popping my pc into the car (micro atx build, easily transported and takes 5 seconds to unplug) and taking a trip to my mums and setup on her desk. She's got 150 meg fibre business line. I've got 25 meg fibre :(

Gives me a reason to have a chin wag with with the ol' dear I guess.

just buy a cheap external harddrive m8 great for stuff like that and back up ;)

or even get a 2.5 usb caddy and a old or new lappy harddrive etc 2.5 nice small and easy to travel with :D:D
 
Gave in and got it on steam, cba with retail copies even tho a poster would have been nice i guess with map on it (no guarentees they do posters tho these days in em). Then theres the rs key etc.

Least with steam they use a launcher so if i do find the fps bug with gta v like 4 and sa had then i can always launch without steam using a shortcut i guess. Tho u never know the frame skipping bug might not be in the new game.

But the bug is real as i get it with gta 4 and sa and especially in star trek online. Without launching with steam them games are a lot smoother and less tearing somehow.
 
Anyone know what my rights are on CJ's keys ? I demanded a refund, I payed for this:

''Grand Theft Auto V CD Key For Steam''

( got proof in mail).

And now all the sudden it's R* Social club **** and not steam... If I'm getting a R* Social club key I might just as well have bought it retail :(.

Am I entitled to a refund ? It's clearly faulty advertising.
 
Always thought they were shady, they were the only place advertising Steam version outside of Steam itself when all retail copies are Social Club... wasn't buying it.

Of course you're entitled to a refund - you should be anyway because it's a pre-order. Take them to hell and never trust them again.
 
finally caved and just ordered this from Steam. Cant be assed with having multiple different programs to play games, would rather just have them all in one place.
 
I think if a delay was coming, it would have been today as it's 2 weeks till release. I just hope something nasty is not revealed at the end of the trailer, that would blow.
