GTA V

One thing that i have always wanted in GTA games is to see other criminals doing stuff and getting police on them, I mean sure there was that random event where some guy gets chased by an officer, but you cant do anything because you just get the police on you as well.

Really hope that they have spruced it up, I wont mind of they don't, but would be nice.

I wish there was more games like GTA tbh, only ones I can think of recently are Saints Row 3(which was meh after finishing it) and Sleeping Dogs(same thing).

I wouldn't worry to be honest, it needs to run on the old console hardware which at this point looks less than pathetic compared to a modern PC.

It will be interesting to see how GTA V runs on PS3/360s,I mean don't get me wrong GTA IV runs well on both consoles minus the occasional slowdown here and there but the View Distance is horrible.

Not trying to start a console war here, just sating whats true.
I just hope they don't console port the new GTA or its going to ruin it for PC gamers.

The more of a problem than you realise, poor ports are often because it's on a console. It's not always about how powerful your system is, it has to run properly/be optimized/coded correctly.

Another thing is that they design in the method of "can a console do this? No, leave it out". It simply has limited capabilities.

Sure, you'll get higher resolution and maybe better textures, shadows/shaders/aa but this is simply a graphical improvement, when it comes to other aspects first and foremost it's design for a console and then if possible, slap on physics, make the ai smarter, introduce other mechanics/gameplay changes..nope, they rarely if ever do this.
If done right a decent PC has a lot of resources to play with, but often not used except "make it run on a PC as well".

As for peoples complaints about GTA-IV performance I've never had issues, even way back on my Q6700/8800 :| (iirc)

I agree.

Unless game is designed for PC first and then ported to console (dumbed down PC version)
