According to Rockstar, the recommended specifications are based on hardware that can run the game at 1080p, at 60 frames-per-second. For that, Rockstar suggest a Nvidia GTX 660 2GB or AMD HD7870 2GB.
"To run the game on a 4K display at 30fps," says Hoare, "you’ll need at minimum an AMD HD 7870 or Nvidia GTX 760 with 2GB of VRAM." As for the 4K at 60 frames-per-second, that'll require a "high-end SLI or Crossfire setup."

That makes me very happy.
1080p and I have 3GB VRAM crossfire.

**Better that there is some Rockstar say that crossfire is supported.

I haven't actually played MP3 (on any platform) so I can't tell how good the port to PC was but by all accounts it was brilliant.

One of the very best. Praying that GTA V is equally as good!

**Better that there is some Rockstar say that crossfire is supported.

I will be more than happy if my new rig can run it at 1080p 60 fps with R9 290 4 GB

What i'm more surprised about is that a GTX760 and HD7870 will allow you to play in 4k @ 30fps (albeit with 'normal' settings i'd imagine).

I think I'm going to be alright.

EDIT: Christ I nearly got Ebola reading some of the comments on that article.

Saw someone asking if he can play in 4k with a 1080p monitor.... Maybe he means DSR.
