It's related to the game so i don't see the issue. Whether there are many posts regarding download speeds or joining crews is irrelevant, it's still to do with the game.

this will be more relevent when the game goes live, OcUK forums members will have a higher rank in the crew than randoms that ask to join, and hence will need to show they are OcUk forum members, maybe we need another thread for this?? just an idea, not realy fussed myself, but if it helps this thread be more about the game its-self then why not?
like i said im not fussed, il leave it for others to decide

And how is the same image of the rs downloader helping exactly with discussions about the actual game? Yes people are having slow downloads but that's really unrelevent to the actual game IMO. If its that vital to post the same image then use spoiler tags. Even tho the image helps the discussion in no way at all.
 
Might be time to start an **OcUK GTAV Thread** with links to crewS etc in the OP.

Leve this thread for "download speeds etc" and have the official for game play stuff?

The constructive thing was already said, buy it on a proper service like steam or torrent it.

Yes the download speeds are crap, which is your own fault for downloading it there, or having a cruddy cheap ISP.

If you want to complain, spam R* with complaints, or your ISP, whoever is at fault...
 
I hardly think the slow download speeds are down to your ISP? I suspect Rockstar haven't got the bandwidth for everyone. Even my 40 meg Sky Fibre was running at less than 100kb/s at times.
 
Some others complained about download speeds before, because on 10 or 20 mb connections still, but yeah, spam R* support for their rubbish servers, not OcUK, the game is downloadable in 35 mins with a decent connection from steam, and similar off torrents, so there's no problem...
 
I've got a potential problem. I've ordered a new 250gb SSD because I'm going to struggle to even transfer GTA5 to my 120gb SSD (pre-loading to it is out the question!)

I've pre-loaded to my HDD but 15gb of data is on my SSD? I was hoping to transfer the whole pre-load folder to another HDD, re-format on new SSD which should hopefully come tomorrow and then not have to re-download the game.

Does anyone know what I'm best doing? Thanks.

I'm on 150Mb line though so not that big of a deal if I have to download the whole thing again, oh and it's through Steam.

I agree, a more Crew based game play thread would be good with updates to the opening posts with game info, patches etc would be perfect.

I'm sorry but what a stupid statement. So i have to buy it on steam? And i have to have a fast connection? Oh please.
