Im hoping for these

Place - Tokyo type place or UK based.

Time - Modern Day or maybe late 80s early 90's could be interesting.

Be cool if it was an international storyline where you have to travel to other major cities to take care of business. London, Moscow, NYC, LA, Mexico City, Tokyo and Jo'burg are all there for the taking.

Oh I think a Japan aesthetic place would be awesome but probably not that great for GTA gameplay :p Due to the nature of the country. Vietnam etc on the other hand ;)

I actually think the series should end; the last one wasn't great - and I really enjoyed the change of theme with Red Dead...

Probably wont bother with this, but interested to see what the setting is - non-America would be good though.

/edit - unless it's Vegas!

Never thought I'd say this, but my interest is low.

GTA IV was incredibly boring, had little humour and was missing the characteristic humour and light heartedness of it's predecessors.

And now they've splashed out on the killjoy of an engine, I guess they can't go back!

I'm with the guys who want a modern day one, let V be modern day and let them do a past era in a spin off like they did with Vice City

I really hope this isn't set any earlier than the late 70s. Ideally I'd like another 80s or 90s one, or just modern day.

Same. GTA is a game suited to the more modern (70's+) era.

Hope its not early 1900 or before.

RAGE is a great engine. It was just a bit premature when it was used in GTAIV. Look at Red Dead for the improvements in lighting and what not. Coupled with Euphoria, I still think GTAIV is a great looking and great feeling game.

So because the last one wasn't the best and Rockstar have made a different type of game, they should just drop it?

Surely a games company is allowed to make more than 1 kind of game?

Plus, GTA is a massive franchise. They could just repackage GTA3 in PS3/360 boxes and it would still sell like hot cakes.

I have faith that they have listened to the complaints from people about what was wrong with GTA4, and improved it in GTA5. The Ballad of Gay Tony was a move back in the right direction.

Nothing wrong with moving away from an IP :P - just my personal opinion, but then I've never been a massive fan of GTA anyway so I am biased.
