GTA IV was a massive step backwards IMO. Game world size was impressive. Lack of gameplay & terrible sub std cut scenes & boring dialog were put there because consoles could just about handle the game world on minimum settings (which is all they had it running at).

GTA VC + SA were very impressive for the time more of that with a decent FPS & GTA IV is what most GTA fans want but what they will make is another GTA IV with a different story/content :( & the same old modern Rockstar touches like endless unskippable boring cut scenes (like Max Payne 3).

Your loss. The game looks great from what's been seen so far, and I've little doubt that they'll have taken on-board the criticism that was directed at GTA4.
 
I'll be very impressed if its better than GTA4.

At first I did not like 4 on PC because it ran slow but with a few patches and mods its looks and plays great. I never really game any more apart from Starcraft 2 but I have spend about 3 hours on GTA4 multiplayer today having loads of fun. Not sure which mode it was where you have to carry out team tasks for the mafia to earn money and try and beat the other team.

Turf war mode is also really fun

Best of the GTA series IMO. Hopefully V will be very good too
 
Really hope they code it well for PC, why wouldnt they? Just doesnt make sense to straight port it over with the sales they could get on PC. Apparently skyrims sales on PC are as much or close to the same on xbox 360.
 
Some interesting new* information from a Dutch gaming website who attended a recent press event:

On top of that, the owner of a popular Dutch gaming channel on Youtube says he has a friend who works for a big gaming magazine in his country and that they have been notified the release date is 26th April.

Pointless lookin for a confirmation as we probs wont have that till R* announce it themselves properly.

Lets just hope it does come, thats all we can really do at this point.

I'm gonna buy it, and I'm gonna build a underground bunker to put my monitors and keyboard in so I'm sheltered when the PC in the house imploads into a black hole.
 
R* have already confirmed they take the screenshots on PS3 I'm sure of it.

Besides, they aren't good looking at all, if you look at the full res images they're packed full of artefacts which you don't see when they size them down.
