Sod that, the shack is the first place I am visiting providing that region is accessible right from the start. That mountain looks immense - IT MUST BE SCALED ASAP.

Isn't like the whole map accessible from the start? Pretty sure I remember reading something like last year saying they won't be sectioning off the map like they have in every other GTA road-blocking the bridges.

I actually kind of like the sectioning off sections of the map, makes sure some areas are new and exciting as you progress through the story, also means the scope changes as well. So in San Andreas the difference between biking around your hood at the start then flying a plane down the Strip in Las Venturas.

I agree, I think you experience different areas better that way, but that's just what I remember reading, could be totally wrong or it could have just been a rumour. I guess without the blocks it would be like an MMO game where you can go everywhere but all your missions are in one area until you finish and move on.

EDIT: According to gtav.net:

"For the first time in the series, the GTAV map is open from the beginning, with the exception of some protected areas."

The multiplayer sandbox shenanigans could be great. Roaming the whole map with hundreds of other players would be incredible.

Most likely not, although if it is GTA5 is way more explorable than previous games with more to do from everything shown and told so far.
