this is totally going to be announced the same month it comes out on pc waaaay after we've all given in and paid £40 on console. Doh.

everyone said the same about Red Dead Redemption

RDR was a new IP that was a "risk" to Rockstar as they weren't sure if a western game would sell or not. I think by the time they saw the sales figures they had already moved on to other projects of thought the time had passed where RDR would be profitable on PC without adding extra PC specific content to it. At least that is how I would imagine things like this to happen, also when RDR came out I don't think the PC/Console rate was that high at least nothing compared to how people buy games name as even the modestly priced PCs can run the latest games at better settings than console counterparts

whys it still listed as confirmed november 15th release date on pc ? whats the latest news ? have they said pc version delayed yet ?

"Completely revamped Driving"

I hope they have not made it too arcade style driving,if its anything like sleeping dogs driving i wont be happy. :/

i actually like how they drove in GTA IV.

Looking farward to the new Melee systems though, felt really clunky in IV.

If any of you have been following the development of Windows 8, you might be aware they are integrating the Xbox services into the OS. Maybe, the delay in PC announcement is just because of this.

+ GameInformer said they demoed the game on PS3, which may well be in good hope that the PC version isn't a crappy port.

And a compilation from the GI reveal I gathered;

Planes/Bicycles/ATV/Jet Ski's
Map size is bigger than IV/SA/RDR combined
Underwater
Building rapelling system
Completely revamped Driving/Shooting/Melee systems and mechanics
Convertible cars
Return of Ammu-Nation
Detailed mini-games (Full fledged golf course)
Loads of things to spend your money on, a vibrant economy
Lots of detailed interiors, including skyscrapers
Dynamic pedestrians (Gardeners waiting at bus stops at 6AM, then you will see them gardening on properties by 9AM. Women shopping in supermarkets.)
Dynamic encounters (Random pedestrian events, ala RDR)

Been playing a load of GTA4 this week. Really enjoying it. The last one I properly played (and loved) was Vice City.

All the new features you stated re the new one sound EPIC :)

Don't forget about Michael, Trevor and Franklin ;)

Sounds like it'll be amazing.

I do hope they bring back the more wacky humour from the PS2 games. I thought IV didn't carry the same appeal as Vice City or SA. The radio was quite poor aswell.

I didn't think it was the best, however I did like the change to the more serious feel, loved the vehicles and the shoot outs felt a lot better imo.

Running people over was also extremely satisfying :p

The main characters are called Michael, Franklin and Trevor. I'm not sure who is who, though.

Edit: Googling suggests they are, from left to right, Trevor, Franklin and Michael.

That's a shame really, would be nice if all of the main characters got together, imagine CJ Niko Tommy and Claude all being assigned to a bank heist together by some giant mob boss. :p

Would the three of them not get completely distracted by their favourite car so running off to jack that, then immediately driving at full speed through pedestrians and off a ramp wrecking the car, then growing a bit restless so running around the street tossing grenades in every direction massively delay the bank heist? at least I always found that when I played as them.

Haha, on the Heavy Rain engine then!

After the success of Max Payne 3 on the PC and how they've managed to polish the engine i'd be very surprised if this didn't come to the PC.

As posted before mate, Max Payne 3 was in a very restricted, linear world with nowhere near the level of graphics of V. V will most likely run like crap, every other GTA has on PC for their time.
