They way you lot complain about how buggy and unpolished the PC version of GTA IV was on release (I only played it on 360), I'd expect you all to be delighted that Rockstar were taking a little extra time.

I think people would rather have a buggier mess it seems so they can play it before christmas (Although as an adult i've not had christmas holidays for about 13 years so can play games whenever I want :p). I'm happy to wait assuming it is what they say with regards to polish.

But christ, a 2 month wait and everyone ***** a brick lol

If they really are using the extra time to "polish" the game for PC then great, more than happy to wait but lets be honest, chances are that isn't the reason, how many other companies have said the exact same thing (even for consoles) with their games and what have they been like on release...

It worries me when a developer gets to near the release deadline & BAM, extends by 2 months to 'polish' up the game.

Make's me wonder who they have building the game in the first place if they can't have a decent running game after 2 years of development.

I doubt it's being held back for development tbh. I imagine they want to shift more consoles and games over the Xmas period as these bring in more profit.

A lot of people will either buy a console or just get the game on console rather than wait for the PC release.

Why does PC need more Polish or testing. Why do consoles not need this extra time. Surely they all had the same treatment.

My guess is menus/controls/textures and also the consideration that it has to run well on a massive variety of various components, instead of just a handful of consoles that they can code direct to metal?
