What does delaying the game have to do with pre-orders?

You would be right not to pre-order the game in case it's crap, but if it's delayed it doesn't matter if you buy it now or later.

Incorrect, those that want SP will likely just pirate it after the first week. And pick it up in sales on key sites.

Sure, R* won't notice much, if any dent, but it's the lasting appeal!

"NEW GTA VI!"... "Yea, no thanks, last time it took almost 2 years after console release to come to PC, I won't bother this time"

Hahaha, sure.

I have no doubt that the majority of people in here will be playing Grand Theft Auto V, pre ordered or not, within a ~month~ of release.

Also, pirating games is counter productive :o.

I do not buy the '2 years after console release' malarkey anyway. The game was released for the 'current' generation consoles with a lot of changes made, the PC release will have a lot of changed and features added, they are incremental releases with additional content, changes and features. These things do take time.

Rockstar cannot win with some people.

The wider issue with pre orders only goes so far too, Grand Theft Auto V is not an unknown quantity.
 
R* could win if they kept to their word. Simple... Instead of treating their community like a bunch of muppets.

Let's recap shall we?

Original GTA V released over 18 months ago
NO online mode for a further 6 months?
NO Heists until March, 18 months later.
CONSTANT BS dates and delays.

... Still think they are in the right? "Guys, we are not ready to release yet"
"Tell them we are polishing, the idiots lap that **** up"

I'm sure I read somewhere a person on here bet it was delayed the last time, got good odds and obv it got delayed.

Wonder what the odds for this delay and a next possible delay are now?
 
Another delay? Lol.

I am definitely cancelling my pre- order now as I am going away a lot from the end of April and besides, it's summer. Would prefer to be outside and visiting places than stuck in playing GTA.

I was looking forward to the January release. Would have been a nice game to play in the last of the dark winter weeks.

I will wait till the end of summer to pick it up now...and hopefully cheaper than £30 and bug free.

I remember someone posting that too. I think the payout was £400 for this delay. :o
 
Got no sympathy for those silly enough to pre-order :p

While it's disappointing I'm not surprised by another delay, just wait for reviews once it's out before you purchase.

I was originally going to get it as soon as it came out but now I don't think I will until I see some gameplay or see what sort of bugs there are.

I know that technically the delay should be a good thing as they are fixing issues or whatever but it makes me worry if there is something "major" they are trying to fix.
