GTA V

Looks like a mix of nice high detailed textures and blurry ones. Look at the screen of trevor, his hands and the gun are great but the jacket looks awful.

Screenshots look... okay... they have the uber-jaggies though - the sort of stuff you nearly always get on (wait for it) crappy console titles... Given all the delays and now given the chance to try and win back some support with some amazing shots of the game this is the best they could do?

It's starting to reek of a stinky port to me

Did you redeem/send the GTA: San Andreas gift? That won't let you refund if you do that I believe.

No didn't redeem coz I already owned it, I told them that but they told me that as it had already been disclosed to me they couldn't refund , and to be honest if they had deducted an amount for the freebie that would have been ok

Ps4 version has loads of jaggies

Those new screenshots from Rockstar look awful

After the amount of money they spent developing this game (high 8 figures yes thats right its rumoured to cost around $100m in dev costs for all versions...but has generated over a billion so they got their money back long ago) I expected so much more its only slightly better looking than DX9 games from years ago

I was not really bothered about this game either way as I hated GTA4 gameplay & most of the characters (radio stations were good though) so will & can wait a few months until it goes down to 50-66% off all its worth to me the reason for the lengthy delay on PC is obviously the complexity of squeezing the game engine onto all the different PC hardware combinations & squashing the bugs (no doubt @ launch it will still need many patches & fixes like GTA4 did).

It made $1 billion in it's first three days of release... and that was before PS4 and Xbox 1 release...

They have more than made enough :D

It's interesting to read all the comments about what the game looks like.

I started gaming on a BBC model B where graphics were - err - limited to say the least. I tend to judge games by the gameplay over the graphics.

Games like Vampire the Masqurade, Deus-Ex are certainly not even in the same ballpark as modern games but they stood out because of the game, the story, the gameplay.

I am looking forward a lot to GTA5, how it looks will certainly be a 'nice to have' but it is certainly not the only thing I will judge it on....

The GTA game a replayed the most was Vice City, the feel of the city was great. Plus sitting on the beach listening to Mister Mister was just so evocative.

I feel the same about Vice City. I was hooked on it for a good while, replaying it etc as well as trying to get a true 100% completion. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's a cross gen title, R* wouldn't just make another game as long as they can sell the same product twice. Oh well, multiple times. :)

What I'm worried about tough, is the tiny FoV on consoles when in 1st person view (which for me makes it unplayable) and how the low res textures and possible low poly assets will break the immersion.

Im assuming there will be a way for us on PC to change the FoV? Either via in game settings or config files, I hope anyway
