It works perfectly on 1.0.4.0 GTA 4 PATCH
It works horribly on 1.0.6.0/1.0.7.0 PATCH

No good for us Steam users.

I installed it on 1.0.7.0 and thought that it was meant to look overly bright and sharpened. Didn't realise it wasn't properly compatible yet!

Yes!

There is one mod that I was just going to recommend, it's called Realistic Driving EFLC.

I think it's the best mod for GTA IV, followed closely by ENB Series for graphical enhancement.

You can use VisualIV or RealityIV to improve graphics slightly if ENB causes any problems.

Other mods that are use:

TreesModIV - new trees textures
Exaggerated Blood - obvious
EPM v1.4 - complicated mod that makes doors, boots, hoods, airbrakes and spoilers as additional moving parts. Works with some modded cars.

Plenty of car replacements that you can find on GTA4-Mods and GTA Inside.

There are also some script files that you need to get some of the mods working.

Thanks a lot i'll be sure to check out those other mads too. Do you recommend the "Default" version or the "Advanced" version of the handling mod?

That looks immense, suddenly I'm feeling the urge to have a high-spec PC again.

The bit with the white Audi driving down the street at night looked amazing.

It looks like it uses 0.082 (v1.7 gta compatible) enbdll according to the comments on that lower link. This was pulled by the russian dev as he was getting complaints that it was frying peoples graphics cards. In fact he stopped developing it altogether which is a shame.

With 1.7 gta I can max out AA etc nps due to massive optimizations, 1.4 I cannot so theres a lot of weighing of wants/needs when deciding which game version to go with. Also 0.082 disables some features available in previous dlls.

I think youre screwed if you are on steam as it auto patches to 1.7. I paid for the game so I downloaded a copy of retail and patched it up to 1.4.

Read the info files, the Advanced Helicopters will not work in one TBoGT mission and one GTA IV.

It's much more realistic and enjoyable to play in this mode though.

Right click the exe file and go to details. My GTAIV.exe (steam) says 1.0.7.0

Same here.

Not a fan of games where car handling allows top speed cornering as if glued to rails, Mafia 2 for example.

Edit: See a few people mention this mod roasts gfx cards, well mines running about 10c hotter than normal with mod & fan profile on auto.
