I do worry if this will be one of the last great "Sims" on the PC what with all the stupid "kids" complaining if their game doesnt look "next gen" or have a career mode with achievements etc etc.

ANYONE who pirates this game deserves a smack in the face.

As an addon for Race 07 i hoped for more.
The 'Ring is the only extra track as far as i can see - 1 track

Half of the extra cars are 'fantasy' things.

I see there is also a STCC addon available, this looks far better value to me.
Just a pity it is'nt the BTCC

That would be my dream addition.

I'll still get Evo cos it is a must have for the 'ring alone, just wish there was more really ...

I'm in the same boat here, have Race 07 and looking forward to this. I'd imagine the expansion pack will be priced around a tenner?

To top it off 10tacle who published GTR2 and GT Legends has gone bust. Today the multiplayer lobbies have been switched off obviously paid for by 10tacle rather than Simbin.

There is a patch for Legends that allows the direct IP to work without logging into the lobby server. See here for details. Hopefully something for GTR2 coming as well.

The lobby came back alive a few days later as SimBin took over the running of the servers that control the lobbies.

Looking forward to this, hopefully the changeable weather feature on dedicated servers has been fixed, unlike GTR2 where the weather never actually changes!

isnt it about time Simbin added more lighting effects and maybe some HDR to their games as the textures and cars look rather dull ..

still have it on order though and look forward to some online Nordy dominance!!

They are working with a new game engine, "Lizard" although little is known about it as yet.

We should know more about it when Race PRO is released on the 360:

It is likely that GTR3 will be based on this engine, hence the delay of it as they wanted to run it on their new engine.

Thankfully Simbin have once again been very god and dipped in to pay for the lobbies for GTR2 and GTL going. Nothing to do with losing fan base when a game is just coming out? or alternatively is it a mistake as we would all of had to upgrade to Race 07 or GTR Evo!

Race Pro and a few other games on the 360 look likely to make me part with my money for a console. It will be hard to go and play a sim on a joypad (Do PC wheels work on the 360?) Finally simbin have some improved eye candy to look at!

You have to use the MS wheel on the 360, which by all accounts isn't terrible, just certainly no G25.

This is supposed to be a race sim, I.E more focus on the physics rather than pretty graphics, the graphics dont play a big part in making the game what is, its the experience of controlling the cars to a somewhat acceptable level of realism in the way they handle and such, for example, your racing around the ring, where in that 10 minute lap are going to notice "oh no, HDR could make this look better"...if you do have that time, your probably not moving and need to swap games. Where as the likes of Grid is more a eye candy racer than a race sim.

Looking to pick this up as an expansion pack seeing as I already have Race 07. Seems it's 17.99 at one place, but at another place for the same price includes Race 07 too :confused:

Anyone getting this for any cheaper?
