GTX 1070 - any takers?

I'm in a situation where i have a whole new build and NEED a card. But i just cant justify the price for my savings. Even though the EVGA card @ £409 looks sexy!!

HALP :(

Wait for Polaris release or buy a second hand 980Ti now and sell it again for hopefully the same money when Polaris 490/480x arrives.

you're welcome.

The KFA2 blower is tempting but:

1. It's still about £50 overpriced.
2. I've got no idea how hot/noisy the blower fan runs.

I guess unless I can get a MM bargain I'm waiting for Polaris.

Waiting to see what American prices are like (not on sale yet), curious whether Nvidia lied about the $379 figure, or whether it's just a UK retailers thing. Even with VAT etc average price should be £325-350.

Some people are going to have to eat a lot of humble pie with their hats as a pudding :)

Here is a reply to a post I made in the Pascal thread on 10th Mar saying 1080 would be ~30% faster than 980Ti and cost £500+. Also that 2nd tier mid Pascal (1070) would be ~980Ti speeds for ~£400 (£370 is closer to £400 than £300 ;)).

Whatever you say, you won't chang my mind that there will be a card that has 980Ti performance for around £300 ....because that is what is going to happen. :p It will be a truly unspectacular release if we don't.

Oh and he wasn't talking about a GPU from AMD either.
