GTX 1070 - any takers?

I love that Nvidia have kicked people so hard in the teeth that the general consensus now is that the clown card (that was so heavily mocked), is now seen as the way to go.

Instead of "settling" for the clown card...how about just stick with 1080p for a while longer? First world problems lol.

The clown card is our savior in all of this mess.

All hail your new god!

Am I the only one that doesn't mind the prices? I've ordered a 1070 FE (from elsewhere, unfortunately). First graphics card in 4 years (currently rocking a 670!) so if this one lasts this long, 100 quid a year isn't so bad. I waste far more on things I get far less use out of.

670 and 770 launched at £329, 970 launched at £275-299, so prices have gone up a fair bit for the same class.

How much did your 670 cost considering the 1070 is a similar tier to when 670 was released? The 670 was ~£270 on release and 1070 is ~£370+. I can't see inflation accounting for a £100 increase. Even GTX970 was ~£270 on release.

£370+ is rip-off IMHO for what will essentially be designed as a lower mid tier GPU.

The OCUK value 1070 makes me laugh.

Same price as all the well known branded reference cards, only has a 2 year warranty.

LOL wut!?

You'd have to be a moron to buy one.

Only £449.99!

No idea. I earn more now than I did in 2012, far more than the difference between the cards

I don't really care what tier the card allegedly is.. they seem fast enough to me judging by the reviews.

Price gouging is ridiculous £470 for a gigabyte G1, I paid £330 on release day from OCUK for the 970 G1 - 42% increase...

First *70 release I've not bought on release day since gtx570 :(
