GTX 1070 - any takers?

is 1070 around 10% faster than 980Ti and 1080 around 20% faster than 980ti?

Only available cards now are the Gigabyte and the MSI.

If you had to choose, which would you go for?

Nah, I'm debating on it too.
I'm not happy with the prices but my old 670 is starting to moan in more recent games.

Contemplating biting the bullet or waiting a little bit longer or AMD's new card to see how that compares and whether anything happens to the 1070 prices when it releases.

That puts a 1070 a good wedge slower with 25% less cores and standard GDDR5. ridiculous.

Does anyone know what this card's heat and noise is like? Tempted to go for the G1 Gaming as it's the new Windforce but really not sure at that price, £100 extra. Could just buy an aftermarket cooler for that :eek:

Who says it replaces the 970? It's just a number. You need to look at the performance of the cards to make a judgement on that. Having seen all the benchmarks I think 1070 is not occupying the space in the range that 970 did.
