*** GTX 670 Overclocking Thread ***

if it's pcie 2.0 and running at x8 that could be causing a slight degrdation (wouldn't have thought it would be THAT much byt hey)... easy way to check is load up GPU-Z, that will tell you what pcie version and bandwidth you are running at

GPU-Z, not CPU-Z

having said that, you are running ivybridge and Z77 board? so it should be pcie3.0 x8 which is the same as pcie2.0 x16... so it shouldn't make that much of a difference if at all

Made all the difference. Stock now 1812 score. 100 score difference between x8 and x16 I am annoyed though I purchased this specific motherboard for x16 compatibility for SLI and the other PCI-E 3.0 Slot should be x16.

Why is it showing intel hd4000 graphics, instead of my gtx670?

Thats my 670 at +160mhz

still don't fully understand this overclocking lol, gpu-z showing boost as 1154 yet evga precision is showing max as 1202mhz ive no idea if thats any good or not? Thats with the card set at +95mhz

1154 will be the boost clock that the manufacturer guarantee, though the 1202 is the boost clock your particular card can reach before overclocking it yourself, so each card may achieve slightly different results :)

Looking at the last post on page 1 by Kmax86 he has the same card as me and has set it to +100mhz the same as I have yet states a core speed of 1263mhz yet my max is 1202mhz?

using the info I mentioned above, he has set his at +100 so he's overclocked it himself, so his boost would be 1163, so if you added +100 to the core, you'd get 1302mhz

because you're using the iGPU as well, probably with Lucid Virtu on?

A 670 wouldn't get anywhere near that score no matter the OC without it.

He doesn't have AA enabled which is why his score is high.

Reason its saying that is because he has intel graphics driver installed. Go to control panel and remove it.
