GTX 780 Owners Club

Anyone else getting kind of fed up of GPU's lately ? I mean sure the 780 is a great card but now the GHZ edition is getting released, Then the Ti version which has the full 2880 cores unlocked, What next ? The Ti GHZ edition ?
Might sound silly but it's starting to put me off building rigs.

Doesn't bother me, there's always something around the corner in the technology world. I could quite easily build a 2-3k rig but I'd rather build something worth half that and upgrade more often.

I can see me caving in and getting a 780ti if it is a fully unlocked 110 chip :o

Speaking as someone who doesn't already own two 780s, I find it all rather exciting.

I wouldn't worry about it. Not much point going from a 780 (of any sort) to a 780ti/GHz. Wait for next gen and enjoy your card. If you have upgradeitis or you bench, yes it can be tough but then you expect to spend every few months.

Huh, progress is putting you off building rigs? You're in the wrong hobby buddy. How you gonna cope when Maxwell gets released and blows this gen away :p

Yeah for the guys that have been waiting for an upgrade, the 780ti is awesome news. Things always get replaced, I love the pace of the PC industry. GPU competition is kicking off again, all we need now is AMD to bring it to Intel with Steamroller.

I read it again, what is putting you off? How fast things get replaced?

Yep, I mean I only got my 780 in may, Release month, And that was 5 months ago and now the Ti version is getting released which could potentially be a butt load better.
I'm all for progress and things getting faster and better but a 5/6 month life cycle is a bit silly.

Yeah think I'll sell my 780, PS3 which I should never have bought really just for GTA V and then the sale of the games I get with the TI, shouldn't cost me anything at all in the end apart from stupidity :D

If you already have a 780 and want more speed get a second 780 for SLI rather than get the TI

Here are my clocks and temps I run 24/7 stock volts SLI after running Heaven.

Playing with overclocking my 780 again. I'm wondering what voltage other overclockers are using. At stock volt I can game for hours at 1012/1652 before it conks out so I'm hoping a little more voltage can stable it.
