Just got my new card, I'm back to the green team
I grabbed a Gigabyte 780 Ti Ghz Edition for just over £400.
So you were the one who nabbed the £419 card. After much deliberating I have gone for one of the £399 Gigabyte 780Ti cards bit of a gamble but I want to come back from the dark side and give 3d a go.
Crosses fingers...
The 780 Ti GE is the exact same performance as the Gigabyte.
The ASUS is very good too, but it costs more and comes clocked much lower.
I'm actually going to try and send the card back. Performance is great and idle noise is probably the quietest I've heard, but under load it isn't brilliant...
It's actually louder than the reference card and runs at around 80C. I was expecting a bit more.
Louder than what reference card?
68% is about 3000rpm on my 780 windforce which i cant hear over my nzxt 630 case fans on low , thats about where mine tops out temp wise as my fan profile is 1-1 , thats with a 1267core,((ambient moslty 20-30c when gaming) stock it sits lower, pay to check some reviews see what they say but i do tend to agree if its sounding loud stock its a issue
I can hear mine at 36%/1600rpm. You must have some loud case fans
Lol i at 36% i can barely hear it with the side off and most the fans right off
Its why noise is subjective to everyone ,and its not just the loudness pitch etc bother different people
What about the EVGA 780Ti superclocked with ACX cooler?
