Guild Wars 2

All those rangers and no splinter weapon? You should be ashamed :p

Meh, couldn't be arsed with it, wasn't really anywhere to put it. If i stuck it on the OoV Necro she'd of probably spent more time casting that than OoV. Besides, had no problems killing anything. The only enemies that were really troublesome were those 2/3 Ether Breaker 3/2 Icehand mobs, mostly because i was lazy flagging heroes apart ><

Hall of monuments points that have been mentioned several times now:

http://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=welcome

30 points unlocks a whole load of bonus items, including a full set of armor, one of each weapon type, and loads of pets and miniatures.

I'd love to do all of those but i've completely lost track of the story, what i have to do and where to go to do it :( Though it's not surprising as i've played it about twice in the past 4 years lol and i've always been a casual player so i've never learnt how to control the AI properly when there's no one to quest with. Are there any easy guides to doing the HoM stuff and how to best achieve it without human players?

Well to be fair the HoM is supposed to connect the two games together so talking about HoM stuff is basically talking about a part of GW2 :p

arknor, i'm looking at some youtube guides and obviously part of the achievements is getting 50 miniatures, i've never got any in the past without it being my birthday so how do i go about getting more?

EDIT: i think having onyl played the game twice in abotu 4 years doesn't help, back when it was just the original game everything was so easy and enjoyable, now there's been so many changes that at times it feels like im playing a different game and i can't get my head around everything that's changed and going on :(

If you don't mind using completely broken builds like Discord spirit spamming then you can do pretty much anything really.
You don't normally need to control the AI much (bar flagging them occasionally but the flags below your radar should explain that :p).

If you've had the account for that long (hopefully with a few characters) you should get enough minipets from birthdays to get 20 minipets. Unique isn't a problem if you just complete the Black Moa Chick thing. Rare might be the only problem if you didn't pick up 1 from the canthan new year or similar. Thats a quick 4-6 points.
Armours you should be able to get a few if you have the money.
Easiest would be heroes and pets. A very simple 5 by chucking a few heroes and pets in there, getting the full 8 points would take longer.
Grab a Destroyer and Oppressor weapon for 3 points.
Easy enough to get 5 statues for the honour track.

I wouldn't worry about getting 50 miniatures. With 17 characters, some approaching 6 years old, average of about 3-4 years, and some bonus pets i've reached 48 minipets.

Oh so am i right in thinking the points are per account then not per character? Perhaps that is where im getting so confused!

Think i've only got 4-5 characters, so i need to login to each one and dedicate all my pets on each one in the hom?

You able to help me some time on mumble? :p If i remember rightly the last quest i was on was too hard for me to do with henchmen, i'll find out what that was called in a minute though (downloading game files now)

Yeah account based so just dedicating them should be fine.

Can't just yet, which quest (or campaign) was it?

I thought i had you on Steam, can't find you ><

Yea the HoM points are account based, I filled my armor monument using armors on different characters because 7 sets on one character is just plain silly and a waste of storage space.

Titles can be achieved on any character, though most people focus on getting them all on one character.

I can easily get up to 25 titles maxed on my main character for Rank 5 koabd, but I have to grind all the EOTN reputation titles for it.

I also lost my survivor progress again due to forgetting to keep my prot bond on, though I'm not actually bothered about that title, I just want obby shards.

Im currently on 21 titles maxed and 45 HoM points which is good enough, but I still enjoy playing GW so I can keep on trying to get more.

Of course they're squishy. They have bog standard physical resistance and slightly above average elemental resistance. Maybe slightly better depending on insignia. Any self defence buffs are normally based in Earth/Water which are irrelevant for 99% of PvE ele builds.
