Guild Wars 2

It's nice to finally have a start date. Hopefully they will increase the frequency or lengths of beta testing periods.

BTW, that 28th date, is that including the head start for pre-purchase people?

Not sure if it's within the NDA or not, but does anybody who played the last beta weekend have any insight into performance? Is it likely to be smooth both in graphics and network?

Yeah they have said they will spend the next 2 months optimising and balancing the game.......I found it ran perfectly for me, so I expect it to come out pretty damn smooth.

The people claiming the game doesn't run well are the minority and unfortunately there will always be a minority for whom something doesn't work perfectly, for the vast majority the game runs absolutely fine.

Note that I am not saying anyone is lying, however for the majority, there are little to no real performance issues.

It was a stress test so don't expect much. The back end latency still affects the in game performance.

I've had it as smooth as anything on the beta weekends. Obviously depends on resolution though.

M.

when i first booted it up is was at 5760x1080 then i put it on 1920x1080 just so i could play on center screen only, there wasnt much of a performance hit going from 1 res to another both ran rubbish on both.

im sure the full game will be better optimized...

It's an event in the UK during Summer when thousands of people go to a huge field and roll around in whipped cream, look it up on youtube.

Lmao that made me chuckle, Its a 3 day weekend where all the big DJ's get together and have it out. Such as David.G, Skrillex, Magnetic Man, Benni Bannsi and people like that.
