Guild Wars 2

Haven't played it since the original BWE so I'll have to give it another go as MadMossy suggested :p but last I'd played the bow attacks just felt really awkward, didn't have that "meaty" feel from GW1 and the range seemed laughable even with a longbow. I also hate having to rely on pets, haven't played far enough to see if it's viable to go "solo" :(

Ah ok, can see where you are coming from. I'm inclined to agree on the pets thing, not my cup of tea really which is why i'm a bit apprehensive about the Necro as well.

nice 8pm Friday I have the evening off too :) shame I'm doing 6 hours work Saturday but can't win em all. Still never managed to get my GF a weekend key so I'll be flying solo again

No doubt it's been posted before and apologies for being somewhat lazy....

Is there a definitive site that defines classes, the specs, weapons they can use, abilities and maybe a bit of feedback on their playability etc?

theres information here GW2 Wiki that might answer some stuff for you... or just peruse the official site.

Hi guys, i dont suppose by any chance you guys have a spare beta key that is lying around that i could have please. Looking to try it out before deciding on whether to buy.

Can anyone advise if this compares well to other MMO''s such as Rift? Also is it worth paying extra for pre-purchase, and is it worth paying extra for the digital deluxe to get the free items?

Many thanks,

Dean

From my own perspective I'm playing GW2 for its PvP. I've been involved in some crazy WvWvW fights and its dramatic, laggy sometimes but dam fun.

I've not really touched PvE as it seems too 'samey'.

This is my main reason to play this, I will do the PvE as well but it's the WvWvW that's pulling me so I hope they get the netcode sorted.

I really enjoyed the first guild wars and expansions but i did a free trial on the star wars MMO recently and i was totally disappointed and bored at the repetiveness and dullness which i experienced. I suppose the guildwars 2 world looks amazing and at least its not subscription based... hmm what to do lolol

cheers guys, glad i asked as i aint gonna be able to hammer the hours in so would probably benefit from PvE as i'll get owned PvP. It's a shame that this mode is a bit samey :(

Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed the PvE in the game, and PvP wise you should be fine, join a Guild then you covered PvP wise as you can do it with them.

IMO this game is well worth getting as there s no monthly sub, so cant really lose.

The 2 games are miles apart, get it and have fun :D

Debating whether to get a mouse such as the Razer Naga as it will make the keys so much easier to use without having to look and fiddle around with my keyboard.

Are we allowed macro keyboard bindings in this game?

I remember there being some confusion in Guild Wars 1.

Want to finally play around with macros on my K90. :D
