They only get used when activating a off hand skill I believe.
Guys you can not move the abilities I mean like wow for example put the 1 in 2, because when i bind them for my is better to put them as I want them... at least the first 5 an the other five and move them... C'mon...
Example in my weapon Y got in 3 stealth and I want to put it at the end.. Because is got..
1.2.3.5 ATTACK and 4 is STEALTH so when I'm playing with everything bind is easier for me to see with abilities I got in cooldown.

I crumbled like a cheap cookie, preordered and I am now downloading beta client. Smashed my overdraft and will get shafted by the bank manager for it (and the missus after knocking tonights night out on the head to try beta) but it will all be worth it
We expect your toon to be called crumbled cookie
......then your alt to be called smashed cookie, after the missus see's crumbled, it will become smashed ...ok ok it's early in the morning for me still

You can't move skills around.

Has been or will be? I just loaded up since I last did at like 9pm and no patch O-o.
Unless it did something smart will it ran, I believe they said updates are done live with only a restart required and no extended downtime.

My friend said the same thing, but with how weapon switch and skills work, it'll be an tough thing to sort out.
Sword in main hand with 3 skills, offhand in another with the last 2.
You switch the first 2 to the last two slots then switch your offhand, what then?
Only way I can see is if they let you customize every layout possible, or at least the one you will use.
Is not a big deal... Quite easy I'd say just unlock the bars and do like in your skills chose what you want in the position that you want, even if your swap your second hand or weapons or whatever, it shouldn't be a problem.

Who's to say z are where you want y to be.

You'd have to tell it to not go to default for all other weapons the moment you swap the main skills to offhand skills. Not including 2handers.

Ooookay, so I tried the Guardian again, shifted around a few trait points and it's really quite good. Mega-survivability, support and even a decent amount of damage/mayhem when switching to GS from Staff - plus the elite and virtues add another dimension to it.
I'll probably be rolling an Ele and a Guardian and switching between them. I'll also have an Engineer just to have a bit of fun in PVP with.

Been playing Mesmar and its been so boring
Just found out you can pay real money to level up faster/get crafting skill faster etc... Bit disappointed
Im loving the mesmer, think they great fun.

I think some don't , not sure but I know you can be small dude running around with a great sword that is as big if not bigger than the toon
Yeah I agree with this some do look samsy, I have lil Asura Mesmer and it fun to play.It just feels like every spell is the same and all look the same

Have you only just started researching/playing the game?
That's been known for ages. You can also use in-game gold to buy them too. And the faster levelling is for kills only, which compared to quest/event exp is next to nothing.
Also Mesmer is awesome
I've finally decided what class i am playing for release, after changing my mind countless amount of times.
Asura Engineer!
I love it, changed my traits, build and runes to a condition based build and having a blast. I don't do the damage a Warrior/Thief puts out but i have consistent damage through dots and most classes can't run away as they still die.
I also can survive really well in a fight against one or two others quite easily.
