Guild Wars 2

With all the cash back talk and saving a few quid always being a good thing, Where is the best place to buy?

Tesco at the moment if you don't mind maybe missing head start. It's delivered and not the headstart version, so you should get it for day of release. It is £34.99 on their site, 15% voucher of pre-orders mentioned on the site that takes it down to £29.99 then Topcashback/quidco for another £2.38/£2.40 off.

Just remember cashback takes months to be paid back to you, so you won't get it instantly.

All digital copies have the headstart, isn't the band the deluxe edition?

No, just for pre-purchasing.

Guild Wars 2 game
Summon Mistfire Wolf Elite Skill*
Miniature Rytlock*
Golem Banker*
Chalice of Glory*
Tome of Influence*

Is what you get for the digital deluxe.

Yeah but all digital copies are pre-purchase as no boxes have been sent out.

So anything that is bought digitally will have the 3 days head start.

I was dubious at first, but I checked on Twitter and other people have already got their Pre-purchase Edition from Tesco.

im really not sure which version to buy :(, i kinda want the CE edition to go with nightfall and factions CE, but i dont really want the statue, and i certainly dont want the £120ish default price tag :/

mostly it would be for the book, as i loved the concept art from previous games.

any idea what you get with the normal, physical disk version? or is it just a disk in a case :x

So you mean I would be paying £15 for an item, that I will eventually replace with something I find in game?

Yep, probably by level 15 when you can get very common world drops that have far more of a "primary" stat. By level 25 any blue or green ring outclasses it by far. I remeber Anet stating they dont want to sell anything that gives massive advantages. Most people bought the pre-purchase early to get into the beta weekends. Since you have already missed the beta weekends there isn't a lot left going for you.

If that Tesco version people have linked is an actual pre-purchase version and not simply a pre-order then go for that. Since you will still get everything the £50 Anet version gets (3 days headstart + hero's band).
