Guild Wars 2

Jeremy Soule is the Hans Zimmer of the computer gaming world.

What ever this guy touches becomes like gold, he is simply the best music composer for computer games we've ever had the pleasure of being graced with.

Quick question though, does Tesco charge for pre-orders or are the funds drawn upon dispatch?

Always charged me on dispatch. Well I say on dispatch I usually get charged about 2 days after it's arrived :D

Also don't panic if you don't get an email saying your order is dispatched, again that usually drops into my inbox the day the game drops through my letter box.

Tesco Ent are my pre-order place of choice now, always had my copies turn up before release day.

Thanks to you guys in this thread :) Finally pre-ordered (can't play during head-start so no need to pre-purchase) and besides the 15% preorder discount get another 5% cashback through a work discount scheme :D

Looking at the Tesco website, why would you need to 'Preorder' a Pre-purchase version?

There's no Buy button on that product which makes me think it might not be correct.

Well in theory you then get a 3 day headstart but the lack of detail from Tesco doesn't make it clear whether you get the 3 day headstart of not :(

Could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure the hearts are still filled by other people around you too. Take for example one of the first human hearts at the farm, where you can pick up food, water, or fight the worms. Other people killing worms filled my bar....I think anyway

I know its most likely been said but the hearts are only for you, also there are quite a few events like one in the asura start area that you had to click on these pylons, and they are for you only too, so everyone can click on them and see them light up on your screen.

I did see quite a few events going on in the start area though, there was a really big one right at the start and then after that most of them are abit further in, the one i remember doing a couple of times was around were totalbiscuit was in that last video posted.

Well my missus bought hers yesterday off Tescos and on hers it definitely said pre-order, so that = no 3 day head start.

I am defo looking forward to this game. Loved GW1 but hated certain aspects of it.

For instance, some areas (Elite) where insanely hard. You would spend about 1hour, waiting and waiting for a monk to join the team, get in to the dungeon, the team scatters (as we are all just noobs), and the monsters utterly obliterate us, within 5 seconds, and then we are back in the looby again.

Rinse and repeat. Hugely frustrating!

I think I gave up at this point.

The other thing I disliked, was the weapons. Same stats, just different skin......

Hated it.

In terms of performance, is the game system taxing at all or runs like water?

I got about 100fps everywhere with 2560x1600 maxed with all sliders full and fxaahq on. Think it's because of my processor. Also tried it with onboard sound and the xonar and lost a clear 20fps using the onboard so get a decent soundcard too,.

Well the graphics are amazing for an mmo, the lighting of plantlife and environments is astonishing and makes it a joy to explore. Very few games manage the same level of immersion totally into the scenery for the player. This has huge 100 player battles like in Rift and you know how badly that tanks with the effects up full so it's just as well it is on a par with rift but with higher fps.
