Guild Wars 2

Is it sad that three of my fellow gamerz have booked off holiday to have a lan and race to 80???

Which ofcourse I will win!

Also, picking guardian. Liked the norn story line, but I like skinny characters not fatties

Is it even more sad sitting here on my honeymoon reading about gw2 and sorting out me and my friends server selection?

For those of you still collecting points for the HoM, there was 4 new quests yesterday which involve traveling to points around the main game and 3 expansions.

The end reward is a Tormented weapon :)

That's so annoying, just spent the last of my plat on a Tormented weapon as well, to get me HoM to 26.

Had a bit of a play around today and I think I'm going to try a dual dagger necromancer first. Not sure which race though. Is there anywhere to see what each race looks like as each profession?

I've just been reading this, and I'm not too good with time conversions for some reason but does this mean we will be able to play at 5pm on the 23rd if we have pre-purchased.

And if so does that also mean theres a chance of us playing at 2pm?

Or am I converting it the wrong way? :p

How did you work that out? If the servers didn't go up early it would be 8AM Saturday 25th for Pre-Purchase and Monday 27th 8am for pre-purchase.

If they bring it up 3 hours earlier, it'll mean 5am on the 25th.

I meant 24th :p

Ah well still wrong! :(

Cheers for clearing it up though.

Having second thoughts about elementalist - seems the whole skillset and traits is meant to encourage you to constantly change attunements and spam powers... :/
Not really what I was expecting, I'd prefer to focus on only one or two different elements (ie water and air) but doing that would be intentionally gimping yourself.

It's a shame because it looks like the elementalist has the best underwater skillset (visually too), and a lot of visual satisfaction in general. But switching attunements and spamming different elemental skills is just not my cup of tea.

Oh well then; main will be asura engineer, secondary will be sylvari mesmer.

Edit: Or maybe it can be played in a more laid back fashion. I dunno, anyone share any experiences from playing the tests?
