A quick google and I find this buildcast you mention. Going to watch one of them just now.

As for classes I am going to be a Thief and a Necro. I am toying around trying a Guardian at some point as I would really like to learn how to play a more tank appropriate class.

The question I have yet to answer is which one will be my main? One minute it is the Necro, next minute the Thief:D

I wasn't sure if ppl knew this, so I just posted for those who don't know 'BuildCast' on gamebreaker.tv
It's a series of discussion of the pvp strategy and builds - it's quite good - but they are kinda lengthy ~60min each

Think I will roll a character of each profession, try them all a bit then decide on my mains.

Strange to think the game is so close to being released. I remember back in 2007 when the game was announced my heart sank as I knew that was the end of GW1 and that we'd have to wait a while for the sequel. They had originally planned for a playable demo in 2008, guess the game turned out to be bigger than they predicted :p

A lot bigger funny enough GW2 started out as the EON expansion, and only after working on it for a while did they come to realize what they wanted to do would not for with what they had to work with.

And on another note GW1 will not close the servers will remain up.

BS i was still in the guild when i quit the game, i cant proove it as theres no character history on the swtor but i know for a fact on the last day i logged in i was still in the guild and i even did some of the pvp arena things with guild members

multiple people complained my ass 1 person in your guild was uber sensitive and cried in guild chat all the time to the point where everyone had him on mute and it was not me.

The sound effect for the thief's dodge is very annoying, after listening to it in videos for a while. I think for that reason I'll be skipping thief for now.

I think I'm decided on asura engineer main, and sylvari elementalist secondary.

Also tempted to make one character as a mesmer because it looks to have some very fun skills like blurred frenzy and chaos storm, however I'm not a fan of the whole clone/phantasm thing, and shattering them. Looks like a lot of confusing micromanagement.
 
How did everyone find the movement of the Charr?

I wasn't terribly impressed it felt a bit stodgy at times which is kind of putting me off the race.

I got put off the Mesmer by the whole clone thing, found it a bit of a pain which is a shames I liked the look of the class with the whole condition thing.

For those of you still collecting points for the HoM, there was 4 new quests yesterday which involve traveling to points around the main game and 3 expansions.

The end reward is a Tormented weapon :)

I didn't like it, that combined with their stance made me rule out Charr entirely, when originally I was leaning towards rolling one.

It may be better with a smaller Charr character, max felt way too slow.

Edit - are mini-pets still selling for anything? I need 12 weapons for 45 points :\.

Agree with the Charr points but I really liked the Mesmer, great toon to play.

When I roll a Engineer, it will be Charr, dunno why but the way it moves seems to be the right way for a engineer, I know some people link strange things :D

I agree. In the first Beta I played a Charr Engineer, and the way they move when using bombs/mines and pistols really suits the profession. Then I played an Asura Eng and was converted to an Asura Eng - but still torn between Charr or Asuri for my Eng (which I think will be my main).

The only race I didn't get on with was the Norn. I hated the 'hale-fellow-well-met' voice acting. It was like listening to Father Abraham from the smurfs. A real shame as in GW1 EotN the Norn were superb.

I'll keep my Mesmer as human/male.

Guardian - human or sylvari. For some reason I'm drawn to a female character for this.

Elementalist - sylvari.

Devious where do you pick these quests up? ..im playing right now ... well kinda :(
