Guild Wars 2

Ah actually messing around with the build editor and looking at the cooldowns and traits, it seems I can say ignore earth, and spend more time in one attunement than I previously thought. :)

After playing the ele for most of the beta I can tell you that you don't have to use all 4 attunments but you are obviously gimping yourself so some degree by not using them all. Although I was dps so if you want to do heal/support you could maybe get away with no using all 4. I just had them setup as shift1-4 so it wasn't that hard to switch between them all..

I love the fact that I am so torn between what to play, just because they all look so fun. I think I have narrowed it down to either a warrior or engineer. I quite like the idea if running round smashing stuff in the head with a big sword and the mobility of a warrior, but I am also liking the steeper learning curve from what I have seen of an engineer. I think in the right hands an engineer could make a pretty big mess of things :)

I too have become torn as to what to play, will be playing with a semi large guild again who i played warhammer/rift/swtor with and it seems theres a lot of other people going with what was my first choice, ranger. So I am tempted to change, but then to what I have played the thief class a lot but also the mage. So my choices are theif/elementalist/necro/mesmer or keep with ranger.

I played in all BW but only for a few hours in each as i didnt want to learn too much.

Decisions decisions.

For those of you still collecting points for the HoM, there was 4 new quests yesterday which involve traveling to points around the main game and 3 expansions.

The end reward is a Tormented weapon :)

Note that this is a fairly time consuming quest unless you have a lot o the map unlocked.

The Factions part was the worst for me as I had to go and grind a bunch of Luxon faction to get access to the Jade Sea. Prophecies was slow also a I missed a bunch of towns. Nightfall and EOtN were quick, only hard part was one dungeon.

Took about 12 hours.

Nearly everyone i know whats to play a warrior, thief or engineer.

Something tells me these classes will be sooo over played.

I've heard loads for Ele and Ranger too :p

I think most classes will get a lot of love but I can see Nevro/Mes getting the least as they aren't as "normal" as the other classes.

Still want to play a double sword mesmer, looks like a higher skill cap than the guardian.

Come on, who doesn't like juking people in pvp. :D

I know that I will be doing the theif as my main, the reason for this is that I always seem to be going the caster type in a MMO so I would like to try and be sneaky sneaky Mele. I havent played much of the betas because I didnt want to spoil it but I am stuck on what to do as my alt.

The race I will do my main is that azura but dont know what they are like in gear, the preview was abit rubbish tbh

have installed gotomypc on the ipad so i can try logging in from bed every few minutes until it comes up then i'm getting up.

lol I sound like such a sad freak but I've never done this before for a game. I've never been so excited!

That sounds like a good idea - I would do this if I was in so you wouldnt be the only person doing it ha-ha
