Discoveries get you around 2-5 levels.![]()
I disabled double tapping in menu and use V instead, combat is much more comfortable that way.Got in eventually.
Controls are a bit strange tho.
For instance aswd are back foward etc... however double s and double d does the roll thing, but double a nd double d does nothing.
During combat are we ment to use the arrows keys? Becuase they seem to do the roll in all directions, which seems strange...

Oh and performance is heavy! With every thing on max, it drops to 40ish fps, I had to go with native aa to get back to 60fps.
Where do you have to go for structured pvp? World vs World seems naff especially without mounts.

I find that if you just follow your personal story, the game leaves you behind and you find yourself seriously under levelled for the areas the story takes you. That means you HAVE to do all the mapping (PoIs, Vistas etc.) and the "heart" quests just to keep up.
press H then go to the crossed swords, then choose travel to the mists!

From a distance it looks like Garfield![]()
and never mind the play on words ....For the Beaver!
- Overflow System - seems a bad idea, but it's better than a queue, however it seems to have given ArenaNet licence to skimp on server capacity
- PvE content outside of leveling - fairly sparse at the moment, and seems buggy
- PvP - feels like a 'no skill required' mass zerg
- Combat Engine - hasn't impressed me so far, seems dodgy at best
- Questing/leveling - has little to no direction and gets boring very quickly - also isn't required for PvP
In what way buchtis?
It's not a subscription based game, however I do think there's a lot of blinkered chat like I've seen in a lot of games. I've read a few times how "this is way better than WoW" etc.
I like it, best non-subs MMO I've played and to be fair so far it's far better than other recent MMOS I've tried such as Rift and SWTOR .
So far..![]()
One thing that is majorly ****ing me off though is if you look at the map, the Ring of Fire, Crystal Desert, and most of the south of the map and North look completely inaccessible (no levels displayed in them.), thus making the game look small than bloody original GW1, not impressed with that at all considering those zones are the best (other than shiverpeaks.)
i thought the same, then i thought maybe they will expand into it one day and use the asura gates they are building in lions arch to get there?
