Guild Wars 2

the clock tower broke my keyboard  either can't move at all or just runs forward for no reason, then the lights trip out on the keyboard so i think its a keyboard problem?

any recommendations on a new one? been wanting one for a while lol :o

what/where is this clock tower?I only did the book event for the 2nd act

Go to one of the big doors that are in quite a few places in the normal world (shown as a pumpkin the map). These allow you to enter the mad kings realm, where you can run around the labyrinth farming candy corn/carving pumpkins/killing tons of his undead mobs for trick or treat bags. There is also an NPC there that lets you play the new mini-game type things and teleport to the clock tower.

I quit too... was enjoying the game but I got really busy with work for a few weeks and that was long enough to kinda make me realise I wasn't having fun and doing the same thing over and over again was lame, it felt less fun than WoW so I'm just playing random games now until something better comes along.

The Clocktower is too annoying :p I'll give it a try another time, the rest has been fun though. My 80 Necro:

I had a quick go at the clock tower, but have to work nights so i wont get a proper go at it for a while. I watched a few youtube videos and thought that it looked easy, until i tried and saw that the ground behind you disappears! Ill eventually do it but i can see a few hours of anger coming up ;)

Got my leather and armour crafting skills up to 400, just waiting to be able to quest in the areas that have the mats i need. Currently both my toons at lvl 72, but not had time to go questing in the 70-80 areas yet.

Thanks for explaining buddy

Those doors you mentioned aren't showing up on the map atm

Really wanted to enjoy this game but couldn't get into it. Think the problem is that I've played so much MMO's that I get bored incredibly quickly. Almost feels like a chore levelling up :(

It seems a little buggy. Sometimes I have no doors show up on the map (but are still usable), but other times I go into queensdale for example and the entire outer edge of my minimap is covered in pumpkin icons.

Also, don't forget people that Act 3 starts TONIGHT! and they have specifically said to be in Lions Arch at 19:00 GMT (that's UK time now that the clocks have switched back to GMT) as they are doing a 1 time only event. SO DONT MISS IT!

done the clocktower :D

it gets easier after a while and much better when you get about 1/4 the way up and most people have fell off :D

and i'm glad there are overflows sometimes, that pumpkin carving title would have took a very very long time

Oh I didn't realise this!

I'll be there :D

What do you get for doing the clock tower? Haven't really bothered with it, whilst I like the idea of Juno puzzles I can never be bothered with them :p

Clock tower on your first go gets you;

2 Halloween tonics
Level 80 exotic mad king's slippers. These are magic find boots. They're always level 80 regardless of the level which you complete it at, and match the armor type your class wears.

Repeated runs give trick or treat bags. 2nd run is 10, 3rd gives 7, 4th 5. Not bothered doing any after that.

Video showing the puzzle :)

Where is the best place to go carving pumpkins?

The mad kings realm is quite good, there are lots of pumpkins in the labyrinth area and once you have done them all you can simply ask the NPC to teleport you to the clock tower, then go back again and you can likely end up in a different instance and just repeat.

As for pumpkins in Lions Arch and other places there are some maps of the pumpkin locations here: http://dulfy.net/2012/10/25/gw2-halloween-pumpkin-carving-locations/

Just started playing this game today. enjoying it so far.Only about level 8 i think. Was a little confusing at first that different weapons game you different spells. but i think i've got the hang of it now. Quite a beautiful game.

It is a beautiful game, some of the environments are mind blowing.
