Guild Wars 2

yea i cant force myself to play anymore wvw is boring for me now (over 4k kills)
dungeons are pointless.

not really anything to do and legendary weapons is just to much effort (although i did 100% map completion)

I played the crap out of this game for 3 weeks.. hit max level, full exotics etc, then haven't touched it since. I don't enjoy Pvp/wvw play (i don't in any mmo) so there's nothing for me to do. I think dungeons in GW2 are a real letdown. They feel too chaotic and the rewards aren't much of an incentive. Abolishing the holy trinity sounded great on paper, but after playing this way I just miss the old system. I like having a set tank, healer, dps, because it allows for more tactics and you also feel like you have value in the group.

I'm the same. Think I'm gonna call it a day at level 43. Just feels like a chore to go any further. :(

Can I ask if you are playing another MMO instead? No other MMO gets remotely close for levelling to this.

I still get the feeling people misunderstand the point of GW. :p

Personally I disagree. Well actually I both agree and disagree :p

I think the trinity allows you to have set tactics which you can learn and replicate. Lack of trinity (IMO) requires more inherent skill as you need to think about positioning etc but I can see how people find it chaotic when they prefer the standard mmo system.

Both require a different type of skill and each to their own as to what they prefer.

I too have pretty much stopped playing this game after hitting lvl 80 and finishing the main story arc. It was a good game but I just don't feel compelled to go back

It mainly comes down to if you are into WvW (which the game is heavily focused on, everyone went in knowing there wouldn't be much PvE raiding/dungeon focus) or not. I don't think they have WvW quite right yet, but when they make certain things better I'll hopefully love it as much as I did RvR in DAoC (which like GW2 had much less focus on PvE and much more on RvR as the endgame content).

which is what?

theres almost no pve content worth doing.

WvW is either dominating massively or being dominated massively which isnt much fun for me on either side.
I found WvW more fun before everyone got organised

im over 500 hours played btw so dont say i didnt try.. over 4k kills in wvw aswell

theres just not enough fun with how wvw is right now

Sorry I misread your post I was a little tired when I replied.

I thought you were saying it was pointless getting exotics because of stats, reading fail me :p

You got your worth out of it and can always come back, have a look on 26-27th when the Haloween stuff progresses. Could be interesting!

Thought I might buy some haloween skins... really disapointed they are city only. Not wasting money on epeen gear! I don't have time to stand round cities I don't get enough time to play these days :p

I would play this game for WvW alone if only there was some kind of realm points system to keep me interested long term, I spent over 200 hours doing it before I gave up on GW2 and whilst it was fun and reasonably well designed, I just got bored of the mindless zerging with no tangible reward after a while.

Finished act 2 (apart from the labyrinth farm which I can keep on at) and its a really good event. Huge step up from act 1. Has anyone tried the world dungeons or found any world events desperate to the ghosts ones? Already looking forward to act 3 :D

Logged and and tried to force myself to play a bit yesterday and ended up logging back out thoroughly bored after 2 matches. Another game where everyone i play MMO's with has quit within the first month or two and on top of that i struggle to find much of a point to the PvP. For the sake of it doesn't cut it when the maps are so limited.

I've never been one for dungeons or raiding so had really thought this might have been the MMO for me. Currently lvl 80 pve / 41 in pvp and can't find the will to play further, i'd hoped paid tournies would have added some sparkle back but they're just more of the same.

Awesome game; loved every second of it - but it feels more like a much loved single player RPG experience to me. I hit max level, douched around for a while doing the various dungeons to check them out etc then moved on - there didn't seem to be anything at all to keep me playing.

When I hit 80 it took only a week to get a full set of exotics with the stats I wanted on my Thief; that was at the start of the game to, I imagine you could do this in 1-2 days now. None of the dungeon armour looked that great; even if it did I wasn't prepared to grind my balls off to get it. WvW just doesn't work, gets boring quickly. The only thing left for me to do was level another character but about half way through that I got a Planetside 2 key and haven't logged in since.

I hate the clocktower..

Heh, it took me somewhere between 15 and 20 tries before I finally managed it, then another 5 tries after that to get back to the chest at the mid point to open that up.

It's frustrating, but it all adds to the excitement when you finally get to the top.
