Just got my Mesmer to 80.

Will have to kit out and transmig later. That's Necro and Mes at 80 with a Warr and Ranger at mid twenties.

Saved up karma flasks and karma when levelling and was 20k short of a full exotic set

Mind, still need to make around 20g to get exotic weapons and accessories etc.

I run a tanky hammer build with my warrior, it's so much fun. Although, I run with a guild (IRON) squad so it's not so much a lone roaming build.

Fully geared my Mesmer now

On to either Ranger or Mage. Kind of went off my warrior a bit.

Wvw is irritating at the mo, Elona and Viz double teaming Deso. Don't know why people do it as Vizunah are consistently sticking the knife in Elonas back but still Elona stay faithful. Oh well

Also after seeing Orr for the first time again in ages I'm really impressed. Graphical updates to scenery and mobs are good, they seem to have sensibly redistributed mobs and the event timing seems to run a lot smoother. Nice move anet

Warrior was my first 80, since I started my second character I've barely touched him, class is OK but so many are more fun and have more utility. It's a shame but compared to my Ranger, Mesmer or Guardian (all 80) I see no reason to roll the Warrior out

Warrior is fantastic. My first character was a Ranger, did the whole game to completion on him, full world map the lot.

Then rolled a Warrior for the lulz, and mein Gott... he spanks the Ranger all over the place. Much more fun to play.

I guess it all comes down to your play style. I can never get on with casters, I can play them, I just don't find them fun at all. I like to be in the middle of the action applying axe to face

I always pick my Guardian when wanting to melee, I do think that's because he's a Norn though! My fav race!

I made the mistake of levelling my ranger to level 80 and I hate him, it's turned me away from the game as I cba to level my warrior. Ranger really needs a fix, most of the skills are utterly useless.

What skills are useless? I think it's a very powerful class.

It doesn't even need explaining. The ranger subforum over at the GW2 forum has all the answers as to why it's a flawed class just like it was in GW1.

This. Rangers are weak in GW2.

Warrior, Guardians, Ele's, and Mesmers just trounce all over them.

Only class that's probably weaker than Rangers is Necro's.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy playing my ranger, I wouldn't have done everything on him if I didn't

But when you play one of the other classes, and you can kill stuff considerably faster, stay alive much easier, give far more support to the team, do tons better AoE, or have much more utility... you kinda realise how lacking the Ranger is.

It's not that they aren't playable, or fun, it's just they need some serious work done to them to bring them up to being half as useful as the others.

After 2 months, the new patch has restored reasonable, playable framerates to me again. Huge relief. MrsSeabiscuit is now level 80 while I'm still only early 40's as I've not been able to play anything outside of cities.
Time to jump back into the fray.

I get it not many of you folks are into the pvp/wvw side of things? I suppose since most of you are on Desolation things must get a bit zergy in wvw, but at least you're doing well!

Does anybody know where i can purchase a key code from (digital), i have already got the game downloaded from when there were trial codes going around but i now need a key code for the full game.

There are a lot of folks on Deso purely interested in WvW and PvP. In contrast there are a lot only interested in PvE but may WvW when we're winning

WvW is still pretty zergy, but it's getting better all the time. There are still a lot of strategy and tactics employed in fights to gain the advantage, it keeps me interested
