Guild Wars 2

I just realised a huge damn MASSIVE Negative for Guild Wars 2.

NCSoft.

What a useless bunch of derps. Trying to mess about with a GW1 trial. My old NCSoft account exists but the security question answer is not being accepted.

Create new account instead...ahh yeah - the memories come back. STUPID password requirements

8-13 Chars (WHY NO MORE IDIOTS?)
No Special characters (LOLWAT?!)
MUST start with a letter
Must contain a number

So, I put in an 11 char password as complex as I can make it within the strict requirements and the account page has the gall to tell me my password is only medium strength and not strong. Are you for real NCSoft? Why the stupidly narrow password requirements?! What damn advantage does that give anyone?

Saving the pennies on your database design or something?

I had an old account just sent them a msg with my codes for the games I had plus some other info and they sent me back an reset mail and it is up and running again.
 
Its gone rather quiet on the thread. Anyone got any new news about this game at all. (at work and a lot of sites blocked to do with games/entertainment)
 
I was thinking that earlier, lunch time and I couldn't see anything new. It's one thing I think they have performed badly on. They announced GW2 and then went quiet, frustrating. Roll on Tuesday though, hope to see a planned release date.
 
Well this site is the only forum site that I can access at work, so a lot of my new games/beta sign ups are due to the community of OKuk. But I always had a fair bit of info to go through during the day in the thread and then nothing :(

Tuesday? that would be good. I havent pre-purchased or pre-ordered just because I have other things to get through first before I start putting in my free hours into this game.

While I'm willing to pay for beta weekends, headstart etc. I really couldn't care less about the physical items, just give me the game with the in-game items/skills. £130 is too much to drop on a game.

only things worth having are the miniature and the summon, everything else is a 1 time use or for 5 days, you don't even get glowing hands lol

i'll be getting the collector edition since i have the collector editions for the other games, might as well carry on getting them and i like the look of the rytlock figurine

Ah £65 is a lot more palatable, good info Flubble! If I didn't know GW though I would think that was still a horrendous price. PC gamers are used to £30 titles at launch, or £8 subs.
 
I may buy the collectors, only because I've recently started (another) video game collection from scratch - although that's mostly retro stuff, I dunno will see what happens.
