Guild Wars 2

Performance had been poor for me on previous tests with my 775 rig, I've just upgraded to a 2500k/gtx 670 etc and when I logged in last night I was initially pleased that it was very smooth. I then realised that the gfx settings had been reset to balanced, on Max it dipped down into the 20's in the Black Citadel. I found shadows give the biggest hit to fps, knocking them down to medium boosted fps a lot.

Time to book some holidays late August :)

I really need to take a holiday from work soon but I'm tempted to wait until release date. Might just take it anyway and rota myself around the 25th to be off. :)

Damn!!!!!

I get married two days before release and I'm away for a week after :(

Right I need to sort getting the wedding called off do I can play :p

Really hyped about the game now. Only one problem for me though.

I have pre-purchased, but i'll be away until the 4th, so apart from I think the first day, I will miss the first week. But I guess that means i will miss the chaos of the initial surge and allows the markets to fill up with gear by the time I return.

I'd say performance has improved since BWE2, I haven't noticed any issues since then with all settings on max.

Good the release date is out. I've only been waiting 5 years :p

The launch of a game, despite the inevitable technical issues, is almost always the most exciting time to be playing. Everybody is in the same boat as you, everybody is as excited as you and the community is just generally buzzing.

Would I need to upgrade my PSU though? from what I can gather from looking online, my 500W PSU will supply 560ti stock.

Not to high up on my components as of late :P

As long as you have 40A or more on the +12v rails, with one 6pin, one 8pin and is a good quality PSU you should just about be able to pull it off.
