Guild Wars 2

Quick video of a full match in Legacy of the Foefire on my Mesmer in the latest Beta Weekend.

Added some music and changed the aspect ratio. Still new at this fraps/youtube thing :)

Got to 8/50 so far.

Got a nice wee plan made out to get me up to 30 which SHOULD be dooable

  1. Get 4 common mini pets
  2. Get 1 Unique minipet
  3. Grind Nightfall Hero armour / EOTN armour
  4. Beat factions and prophecies - Do all Bonus missions in 1
  5. Capture the Imperial Phoenix
  6. Get the Zaishen PVP title ( grind like mad)
  7. Beat the new end of guild wars missions to get an opressor weapon
  8. Grind like mad to get 1. destroyer weapon
  9. Grind again to buy 5 elite armour sets

If you want some mini's I've probably got a few spares kicking about that I don't need. Save you some cash.

As for the Unique, just go get the Black Moa Chick.

Thats what I was planning on doing :) and yes I'd greatly appreciate and spare that you have :)

looks like I can get to 25/50 quite easily without grinding too much besides farming for the nightfall heroes armour which wont be too difficult. Its just getting the money for the elite armours thats going to be a pain.

Have they defo confirmed SLI will be in by release?

SLI still works, you just change the option "alternate frame on your first gpu" to "alternate frame on your second gpu" in the control panal under "manage 3d settings".

There is no SLI "support" but I'm sure Nvidia is working on a profile for it though.

Will it be possible to go back and earn the HoM after release?

Yes. You can go back and earn more and it'll add anything you earn to your GW2 account.

gilljoy: What's your GW1 name, i'll jump on this evening and give you what I have spare. Should have at least 4-5 sat around doing nothing. My IGN is Iorek Valr.

Getting 30 HOM points is no walk in the park. It took me around a year on and off to get to 30/50 solo and my aim from the get go was HOM points.

After 20 odd points things slow way down almost to a halt unless you can find someone to finance your armours etc. Not only that but solo you will need to unlock most of the in game heroes and skills needed to put together a team to tackle hard modes.

Not wanting to put anyone off, but it's a grind a big grind.

Logged into my Guild wars account being ages forgot how to play :p, just opened the eye of the north, though bought it ages ago :(

Added: I only got 3 HoM points :(

What stuff can you just buy to add points, my account still has lots of money.

I went from 9 to 30 points couple of months back in about a week, on and off. 2 days from 17-30. Although to be fair I managed to sit around for a day selling and buying and ended up with around 500k which made the last few rather easy.

The 'easiest' way for me to make up the last 4 points is to complete the Arise quest about 250 times. I'll have the max title in about 3 more attempts, and then it's grinding the rest of the oppressor weapons, bar one, which I'll purchase the mats for a destroyer weapon and that should be the full 30.

The math says I have to do on average 8.3333... runs a day for the next 30 days to get there. Yaaay. ._.

Totally Agree but I can get to 25 without hard mode / armour it shouldnt be too hard big IF though lol.
