Guild Wars 2

Best to think of the HoM as ANets way of rewarding those original players of GW1.

You are not going to get 30 point from scratch without assistance, and certainly not without a great deal of play and time.

Oh Guild Wars 2 you cruel mistress.

Building the below rig as of Today/Monday for Guild Wars 2.

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz

Managed to get annother 2 white mini pets last night :)

Now i just need one green plus 2 other whites and thats that part of the HOM done as far as I will be taking it.

Time for the fun stuff to begin

Overkill for gw2, you'll hardly see more than 30-40% usage on either cpu or gpu ;-). Unless you're planning on running 3 screen surround then it's probably just about right.

Which mini pets are you getting I have so many but none seem to count towards what's needed for hom
 
Wab, I joined The Immortals for SWTOR (although I only played briefly). Will I need to do anything (i.e. apply again) to join you guys in GW2? Joined website and forum as Rhaegar.

I guess it depends if you don't mind getting behind the rest.
If anyone hasn't noticed yet, the pre-release headstart lines up amazingly with a weekend followed by a bank holiday on Monday so it's a good starter for people that work and don't have that much time to play.

I will probably just pre-purchase and pull a 48hr marathon over the weekend as my time will get very limited during the week and god knows if you will even be able to play the game for the first day or two after full release as major crashes are very likely to happen for the first couple of days.

If you don't want the pre-purchase headstart then yet it's the cheapest out there.

It's the bank holiday weekend that Headstart begins, so miss 3 days out of play if your off but then again you may not have time to play or have other commitments.

Actually the faster the cpu the better. Overclock that to 4.5ghz and you're good for 60fps max settings all the time. You'll use about 80% of the 670 at 2560x1600. My system gets nicely utilised
