Guild Wars 2

I don't think that's what they're getting at Tally, if you had 90% map completion it'd be hard not to be level 80 due to the XP given out for doing the various hearts, skill points etc. None of my characters had more than 50% work completion and they were hitting 80. Heck I didn't start my personal quest on one of them until level 70 (great way to get the last 10 levels btw) and he had something like 40% map completion at level 70.

Granted if people use dailies etc then it can artificially boost their levels but it genuinely would be hard not to ding 80 with a high map completion, you'd have to avoid most other forms of gaining XP.

I'll have to go on the game and check, I'm trying to remember from the first it came out i'm sure it's 90% but will check either way the game got boring, Has any expansions come out yet?

Pro tip - if you're going to **** a game off keep your **** believable.

In answer to your question, no expansions in the true sense, but there has been content released each month so far, whilst 2 of those months content was holiday event stuff, its been far deeper than other mmo's (that I've played).

In other news, i'm suprised we've not got more pictures of our characters on here!

Here's my main:

Thanks hopefully some good content comes out to attract me to the game again, and i'll let you know what level and map completion i have later :p

Was still getting 10-20 fps this morning on an i7 950 with a 7950. MrsSeabiscuit is getting ~100 fps on a Core 2 Q9650 with a 5850. I'll try uninstalling the game and re-installing it I guess.
Or does anyone know a way to reset it to defaults/new?

It almost feels like it's a processor thing as even screens like the Black Lion store can feel slow and laggy.

30 GBP seems to be the cheapest price I can find for this at the moment, does this sound about right? I am sure a while ago I saw it selling for around 20.

Yup, it's correct and £30 is worth it for a game you don't pay for again.

I transferred off Deso a while back to play with some old friends for a while, with the intention of going back.

Realms been continually full for the last month and now it will cost me :p typical!

A legendary can cost you in the region of 500g for various materials (ecto's and suchlike). You're also looking at around the same amount for the exotic gift weapon needed to make the legendary one from it. So that's a 1,000g to start. Mystic clovers will take many (possibly 100's) of skill points as they only have a 1 in 3 chance of being produced.

Good luck on your quest for a legendary weapon. I just dont think I'll ever have the time or inclination needed to make one. I'll not be surprised in some far distant future if I've amassed the hard cash needed to buy one outright on the TP by playing the game normally instead of grinding my way out of my mind to make one!

i can barely make 2g let alone 200g!

I've got most of the stuff (for legendary) that doesn't cost gold.

Gift of Battle
Dungeon Gift
Obby Shards
Bloodstone Shard
Gift of Exploration

etc etc.

But absolutely none of the parts that require me to spend gold on them :D

There is talk of a 'Precursor Scavenger Hunt' in the future, whereby you'd get your legendary precursor weapon by actually playing the game, rather than grinding gold for hours on end. But it's a long long way off.

I've made a fair bit of gold in game, my current Axe cost me ~95g to make. But I never grind for any of it. All my gold comes from just playing, mainly dungeons and Fractals.

But even so, I'm no where near rich enough to even think about going for a legendary. I couldn't even scratch the surface of what's needed to get one.

i have around 8g in total and bene playing this game since launch. i only play 5 hours a week at average since launch though.

i can earn around 3-4g from leveling a char from 0-80

Griffon Knights are on Desolation, old DAOC/WoW guild (I've been in it for 10 years) and a mix of older and younger players, heck some of the members even have their teenage kids in it.

Not a huge guild by any means though, but we do help each other out a lot which is why I've ended up in them after being in two large GW2 guilds that I didn't feel I fitted into.

Immortals are nice too though - I was in them originally, moved away to play with mates and ended up coming back to Desolation, but joined back up with my old guild when I found out they were around.
